Sarah Palin On 'Today' Show: Former Alaska Governor To Appear As Co-Host
In the four years since serving as John McCain's vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin has appeared on television as a Fox News commentator and reality show star. Now she's tackling morning news.
CNN reports that the former Alaska governor will co-host NBC's "Today" Show on Tuesday. A spokesman said that Palin will "reveal a different side of her than you've seen before."
Via an NBC rep, E! Online adds that Palin will spend the 7 a.m. hour serving as a live guest on the day's political news. During the 8 a.m. hour, she will shift over to the co-host position, helping out with some of the show's segments.
Back in October, Palin decided that she would not be throwing her hat into the GOP 2012 presidential race. She has chimed in from time to time -- like last week when she praised former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) for cursing out a New York Times reporter.
The Palin news comes on the heels of ABC announcing that former "Today" Show anchor Katie Couric will be co-hosting rival program "Good Morning America" this week. Couric's addition is viewed as a push to break the 16-year ratings lead that "Today" has held.
