Why does everybody like Samoa Joe so much. I mean he is a talented wrestler and all but his gimmick needs a change. He is fat and he wears his shorts up past his belly button. His MMA style of fighting is ok but with his pants just looking that way and his weight it just takes away from his talent. He definately should not have the X-Division belt. I know that it is all about "no limits" not weight limits but cmon give the title to someone who will wrestle other x-division stars like styles and daniels. With him on top its not like he can wrestle Angle for the x-divsion title.
Your thoughts.

He's a decent worker, and I don't have any issues with his physique. He can be as fat as he wants as long as he puts on a good match I don't care. But he could use some work on the mic.

You answered the question for me. I'm one of those guys who can care less about looks, gimmicks, etc. As long as a guy can put on a great match I'm happy, and Joe can definitely do that.

To the people who say Joe is overrated, I will say this...Samoa Joe has three ***** (5 Star) matches, and it's not by accident.

^ Agreed.

Samoa Joe is one of the best wrestlers in the world today. He can put on a great match with pretty much anybody and he is great in the ring. His promos are ok but it all comes down to wrestling and Joe can definately wrestle. He is awsome as X-Division and Tag Champ and I cant wait to see him win the World Title one day

I'm not his biggest fan but i have to addmit he's a great wrestler for his size & the fact that he put on three 5* matches is proof. Other than that though, i seem to gett really ennoyed when people big up his charisma when the fact of the matter is all his promos are exactly the same, & really get boring.

Although he's a great wrestler nd all i don't think any person in any orginization should be able to hold every belt in the company, & that's why i ge ennoyed so much with these Joe marks justifying it.

Who ever gave the three five stars ratings was sharing his/her opinion. Ratings are based on opinions if you didn't know.

im a big fan of his; he has awesome in ring ability but has less then steller charisma. I dont care to much about Gimmicks and Charisma I mean it is part of wrestling but im a bigger fan of someone like a CM Punk who can wrestle 1st and cut good promos second, not like guy like Cena who has Charisma comin' out his ass but can't wrestle a darn, but he can work but thats off topic

Dave Meltzer rated the 5 * matches, If you don't know who Dave Meltzer is here is a little bit about him...

Meltzer popularized the "star rating" system (originated by Jim Cornette & Norm Dooley), which rates matches on a scale of one to five stars in a similar manner to that used by many movie critics.[2]. As in the field of film, a rating is a largely subjective affair that may take into account the amount of action, as opposed to restholds ("workrate"); the difficulty and variety of moves used; the history of the workers and their feud; the development of an in-match storyline based on the wrestling moves and how they affect the wrestlers; and the overall reaction of the crowd. A classic example of a "five-star" match is the battle between Mitsuharu Misawa and Toshiaki Kawada on June 3, 1994, in All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Five star matches, as rated by Meltzer, are extremely rare. Before 2004, the last match rated five stars in the US was in 1997. Since then, Ring of Honor has promoted three matches that received five stars from Meltzer: Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk on October 16, 2004, Samoa Joe vs. Kenta Kobashi on October 1, 2005, and Dragon Kid/Genki Horiguchi/Ryo Saito vs. CIMA/Naruki Doi/Masato Yoshino on March 31, 2006. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has one five-star match: Samoa Joe vs. A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels at the Unbreakable pay-per-view on September 11, 2005. Four WWE matches have been given five stars by Dave Meltzer:

* WrestleMania X: Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon (Ladder match)
* SummerSlam 1994: Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (Steel Cage match)
* WrestleMania 13: Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (Submission match)
* In Your House: Badd Blood: Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker (Hell in a Cell)

Trust me, Meltzer doesn't just give 5* away... I know what the hell Im talking about!!! lol
