The gear that Zack Ryder wore on Monday night’s WWE RAW was recently designed by a fan through a Twitter contest. Ryder tweeted the following about his loss to Rusev last night:

Zack Ryder ✔ @ZackRyder
Follow

Ok I get it. @RusevBUL crushed me...again.

7:34 PM - 1 Sep 2014

It was speculated on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Ryder’s loss to Rusev last night may have been due to some recent negative tweets that he’s posted. It was speculated that Ryder may have had a “JTG moment” on RAW last night, referring to when JTG spoke out against the company in August of 2012 and was brought to RAW the next week for a squash loss to Ryback.

Oh I get it, not seen on any TV to the point of irrelevancy, so you make ZERO money anywhere else after they release you......good job Ryder.

Ryder has always been very good at including the fans in one way or another. Honestly, WWE could probably learn a lot in those terms.

Who would listen to a current Zack Ryder fan? He proved how much of a chump he was when they tried pushin' him.

Those people still think Steph and Trips shoot on Daniel Bryan when they do promos.

I think we are missing the point here. I am not a big Ryder fan, but think is anything WWE can do to include the fans and have that connection is a good thing for business.

Placating a vocal minority of hardcore fans is what scares away the real audience of casuals.

Ryders supporters were a small group and when he was given a US title, being endorsed by Cena it was met with nothing but apathy.

But this is just one thing, it won't hurt their overall fanbase, and may just help attract or keep a few who otherwise might have pissed off elswhere. Its basic business sense.

No it's not. Placating spoiled children, doesn't make them better people.

That's what the vocal minority of neckbeards are....they are spoiled children who think they know who should be pushed and who shouldn't. WWE should have the mentality of "We work you, you don't work us".

Batista's return popped a big rating, and when the neckbeards started their shit, the rating went back to normal. They scare off casuals with their dickish and elitist attitudes.

Blaming anyone but WWE and Batista for his return not drawing is really weak.

He popped their biggest rating in 5 years. FACT.

Being relegated to backburner status because some neckbeards wanted some vanilla midget to headline brought it back down.....OPINION.

What about it? Wasn't it about even with most years? It went down just because 2013 had Rock winning the belt. I don't think Batista got many more people to watch that normally wouldn't have just by looking at the numbers, but he definitely didn't cause any to not buy it.

You mean buyrate? And don't throw out sarcastic GENIUS if you can't spell it right. 8D

Did less than Rocks appearance the year before, but better than the last 5. Clutching at straws.

You would defend casuals. Most casual fans are casual about everything they watch goin' out of your way to please them all the time is just dumb as hell. They are fickle and will turn the channel even on stuff they like watchin'.

Better than the hardcore fan who takes everything too serious and never let their obsession grow.

Metallica has casuals, Slayer has hardcores......I'd rather be at the Metallica show.

I'd rather be at a WWE event that has women and children, than some indy show where it's nothing but guys who are arrogant and hold their beloved promotion down.
