TNA writer Vince Russo says the only WWE wrestler he wants to join his company is Randy Orton.
The controversial booker revealed he has no desire to see the likes of Triple H, Undertaker, John Cena and Shawn Michaels in Dixie Carter's promotion.

And when asked who he would like to see move to TNA, Russo said emphatically: "Randy Orton, Randy Orton, Randy Orton, Randy Orton and Randy Orton."

The 48-year-old then confirmed TNA are considering scrapping their trademark six-sided ring in favour of reverting to the traditional square version.

In a wide-ranging chat, Russo — who took over from Jeff Jarrett as head writer — admitted that Hulk Hogan's segment with Double J on Impact did not go "as scripted".

He also said a second TNA brand has been discussed and rated former WWE superstar The Rock a better performer than Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Russo also hit back at accusations TNA is just a recreation of his old home of WCW, after Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Sting, Jarrett and Eric Bischoff signed with the company.

He blasted: "I don't think it seems like WCW at all. Wrestling, is wrestling — there is only really one way to do it.

"AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Daniels, Morgan, Hernandez, Brit Invasion, Pope, Machine Guns — were any of those guys from WCW?"

Russo then went on to say the company would continue to place its faith in up-and-coming young talent. He added: "The younger guys have had the spotlight since July. I know because that's more or less when I replaced Jeff.

"Just look at who your champions are — Eric Young, AJ, British Invasion. The younger guys have definitely been given the spotlight."

Funny he mentions EY when he wasn't even on the 3 Hour Impact. Guess Hogan doesn't think he can 'talk and wrestle' The best part of this article if there is one is that he says he would want Randy Orton and nobody else. Call me crazy but I'm curious as to how he would book Orton in TNA.

Randy Orton on TNA, trust me, I could book that one all year long. That would be easy considering Ortons nature in the ring and the fact of how his originality is actually a somewhat match to his true persona. It's just like his dad Bob Orton, they are just how they are and that is the beauty of it, you don't have to improvise much. Orton in TNA; even if that chance were likely, I would love it.

If I had the choice between Cena and Orton for ratings, I would choose Cena but hey Russo has his opinions

Lol sounding like Dave Chappelle.

True?

Is it really? I mean TNA kinda felt like a whole new show except we knew the wrestlers already. I'm surprised Hogan didn't strip everyone of the title and set it up The King of Iron Fist Tournament style (Tekken reference). But what else could've Hogan done?

Yea, like they would turn away Cena, HHH, Taker and HBK. Thats the most assine comment i've ever read. Especially considering the long line of over the hill ex WWE wrestlers they just paraded out.

That being said, Orton to TNA wouldn't be half bad. Maybe he would receive some better booking. Booking is the one thing that has kept Orton from reaching John Cena levels.

Actually he was, he was standing with Beer Money (which made no scense btw) and shook Flair's hand as Flair arrived at Impact.

It seems that he is trying to suck some other dicks atm.

and anyway, TNA =/= WCW but TNA is the "beta version" between the two >_>

Flair's arrival was non-kayfabe which was stupid. A far as the article, I think TNA could be the new WCW. But we'll see if NWO takes up more TV time than the actual showcase of the young stars

He didn't say they'd turn them away, he said he didn't want them. Trust me, if Dixie had to choose between Russo or any WWE Main Eventer she'd choose the ratings. I'm sure Russo is saying that TNA isn't like WCW only to keep his job, I imagine he's walking on pins and needles right now since Eric and Hogan are there.

Really I think the main reason Orton has reached Cena's "level" is that Orton or a pure heel. Faces always are the ones who are the top 'level', really Orton is at the top as a heel since he plays a better heel that HHH. You're suppose to hate heels, which people do hate Orton. When HHH is a heel people still cheer for him.

Orton will never be the top level face like Cena though because he doesn't have it all. Cena has the trade mark moves, the sayings, logos, accessories, all the things that sell to kids. Can you really see Orton acting like Cena or face HBK?

They rigged the interview btw...

Vince Russo did an "interview" with The Sun, in which all the questions looked suspiciously like all the questions he has answered on Facebook...and all the answers were almost identical. However, The Sun put some spin on his answers, prompting Russo to respond with:

Always watch what you say, because it will almost always be taken out of context!!! Today in the Sun, it was quoted as saying that I "had no desire" to see Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, or the Undertaker in TNA. Obviously, that's not even close to what I said. The question was posed--which top 5 guys would I want from the WWE in TNA. My answer was, "Randy Orton, Randy Orton, Randy Orton and Randy Orton." Does that mean that I wouldn't welcome Hunter, Shawn, the Undertaker or Cena with open arms? That's how the media works--that's why I never do interviews. Also--just for the record--Stone Cold Steve Austin IS A TREMENDOUS performer. Rock, just has more range, in my opinion. May explain why he's now a major Hollywood actor. Again--the Sun tried to make it look like I was slighting Austin--and that's ridiculous. Steve was a HUGE part of my success. Peace, Vince I wonder if the Sun will print any of that. As an aside, Russo also linked to The Sun's original article earlier in the day. Note from Ryan Clark: The Sun has never been viewed as a reliable source. Some of the shit they report is ridiculous to say the least. They are like the UK version of the National Enquirer.
