Before stating the facts about the next fighter in line got a little rant. When we started the fighting for this section there was at least 10-15 members fighting for this shit and yet on the last voting all we could manage to get was 6 votes. That's weak imo. So for this one I refuse to close it til' there are at least 10 ratings in. That's means if there's not I wil bug the shit out of everyone that hasn't voted. So yea you have all been warned.

P.S.-To the people who voted you know who you are. Keep it up and thanks.

Now for the next fighter. He's easily sitting on top of the Lightweight division and has been on a role since he win over long time rival Jens Pulver on the season finale of Ultimate Fighter. He went on to win and succesfully defend the lightheavyweight title.

Career Highlights
  • May 1997 - Enters first tournament in Bakersfield, CA and wins both his weight and the open weight class.
  • June 1997 - Enters the Joe Moreira tournament as a blue belt winning his weight class.
  • June 1997 - Wins submission grappling tournament
  • 1997 - Receives blue belt from Ralph Gracie
  • 1997 - Enters Brasileiro and places 4th in his weight class, blue belt category
  • 1997 - Continues to enter tournaments upon return from Brazil placing first consistently
  • 1998 - Silver medal at Brazilian Mundials competition in his weight division; receives purple belt upon return
  • 1999 - Bronze medal at Brazilian Mundials in heavier weight class as a newly promoted Nova Uniao brown belt.
  • 1999 - Gold medal, Copa Pacifica Tournament in Los Angeles, CA
  • 1999 - Receives Black belt from Andre Pederneiras just 3 weeks before the 2000 Mundials
  • 1999 - Joins Nova Uniao Competition Team (reserved for the four top team competitors)
  • 2000 - First non-Brazilian to win gold medal in black belt division of the Mundial World Championships held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
MMA Record 13-4 with 5 Knockouts

Amazing fighter but with loses to the likes of Matt Hughes and Georges St. Pierre he has some work to do before he is on top. 8.5/10 from me.

PS-Just found out he is on probabtion am I the only one not to know that?

I'll give him a 8.4/10. The guys is fucking entertaining, he's a great all around fighter and doesn't really have a big weakness. His loss to GSP was VERY debateable, but we'll find out who's better very soon.

Gotta agree bout the GSP vs. Penn fight. But either way. A loss is a loss. No way to get it off you record no matter how many people agree.

I am going 8. He has had some awesome fights, but he needs to fight bigger names. The smaller UFC Fighters just aren't doing it for me. His last fight was great, but he is pretty much one of the most UFC Fighters today. I will give him that.

I also have to go with the consensus and give him an 8. He's an elite fighter but hasn't beaten other top fighters in his class. If he does that I'd give him a solid 9. His last fight with Stevenson wasn't bad but not Earth shattering and that also is another reason to give an 8.

Alright, we got 4 ranks, we need 10. Looks like I have to go campaigning for the MMA section. I'm putting the banners in my sig and shit like that :)

8.5 he is a black belt Ji Jitsu. Very good in his ground game. But there is something about him that I dont really like. He is arrogant and he fought people who are not that good on the ground game. Sean Sherk? common he is just a stand up fighter who has almost zero ground skills.

Thats why im sticking to the 8.5 rate.

8.5/10 If he dominates the next division the score will definitely go up.

You can be a dumbass for all we care at this point. All we need is a number between 1 and 10. Although, if I was a complete dumbass and not know anything about MMA, I would just give him what everyone else did :).
