Backstage in TNA, many feel the company is looking to eliminate a handful of talent in the coming weeks. While I have not heard any specific names, wrestlers looking to be released from their contracts are more likely now to be granted his or her wish. Recently, Johnny Devine requested his release, and it was granted. TNA is looking to cut costs, and due to recent contract renewals of some higher paid talent, the company is now more open to the idea of cutting free some talent that TNA hasn’t invested a lot into. They have also not flown a number of talents to Orlando for the iMPACT! tapings in recent weeks.

A handful of talent? Looking at their roster, they don't have a handful of talent to spare. Almost all of their guys are used frequently and are in good positions!

Well who haven't we seen much of lately? Scott Steiner definitely comes to mind. Ditch him and have Petey Williams go back to being Maple Leaf Muscle, the definition of definition, etc.

Well considering Christian still hasn't renewed his contract the fact that they are using him means nothing (specially since he hasn't won in awhile and likely won't at the next PPV) Its likely not so much that he won't be released and more likely his contract will just run out and he'll leave.

BG James is now a road agent for TNA, he is pretty much done in the ring.

I could see them ditch Scott Stiener. They really are not using him. Some of the X-Division guys could be gone.

But suprise suprise, TNA needs to cut costs due to high contracts. Him Mick Foley & Kevin Nash renewal? Yeah big money contracts. And what are they giving back to the company? Not much.
