Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fans wondering where lightweight standout and Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season six veteran George Sotiropoulos would turn up next, may have finally found their answer.

According to a report from The Telegraph, he's a frontrunner to coach the next season of the combat sports reality show opposite fellow TUF alum (and eventual champion) from season nine, Ross Pearson.

TUF 16: "The Sm-Ashes," a "play on the 130 year-old cricket rivalry" between Australia (Sotiropoulos) and the United Kingdom (Pearson), have already announced tryout dates for next month in both countries for aspiring mixed martial arts (MMA) up-and-comers between 135-170 pounds.

Sorry Tim, no heavyweights.

Pearson (13-5), who was recently submitted by Johnny Law, is scheduled to fight Cub Swanson next at UFC on FX 4 at the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., on Sat., June 12, 2012. "Sots" (14-4), meanwhile, has been flying under the radar since back-to-back losses to Dennis Siver and Rafael dos Anjos.

George Sot has basically been a lock for this show, the slot for team U.K. has changed from Dan Hardy to Pearson. This seems like the most likely combo.

Good choices for coaches. It had to be Sotiropoulos because the only other notable Australian fighter is Kyle Noke and he isn't big enough at all, Sotiropoulos is by far the most well known here. Pearson works well as the UK coach and it would be a decent fight at the end which Sotiopoulos should win.
