MMAFighting.com said:MMA Fighting Newswire - Two more of the UFC's top welterweights will collide at UFC 167.
Robbie Lawler is set to square off against Rory MacDonald on Nov. 16 in Las Vegas, UFC officials announced Tuesday night.
Georges St-Pierre will defend his UFC welterweight title against Johny Hendricks in the night's main event.
Lawler has knocked out both Josh Koscheck and Bobby Voelker since returning to the UFC.
MacDonald has won his past five fights, including a unanimous decision win over Jake Ellenberger at UFC on FOX 8 in Seattle on July 27.
I kind of figured this was coming, quite honestly I'm not overly excited about this fight being a number one contender's bout seeing as Rory's only win over a top contender was absolutely horrid. That being said, nothing taken away from Robbie Lawler. The has looked outstanding as of late and definitely deserves to be in the running, I seriously hope he's the one to finally end the Rory MacDonald hype train. I will say that I think Robbie could use one more win to be in the contender's running however.
