Later this summer, Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey returns to the cage.

In the past year, the Olympian and undefeated MMA fighter has become arguably the biggest name in women's MMA, and she recently headlined a major event on Showtime.

But soon, she thinks she could be plying her trade in the UFC octagon.

"I think it's a distinct possibility," Rousey recently told "UFC Tonight" correspondent Ariel Helwani. "Women are tough. Women are clever. We're going to find a way to get everywhere.

"You can't stop us. We'll be there at some point."

Up first, though, is Rousey (5-0 MMA, 3-0 SF) vs. former champ Sarah Kaufman (15-1 MMA, 6-1 SF), which is expected to take place Aug. 18 in San Diego under the banner of the UFC's sister promotion, Strikeforce. Rousey looks for her sixth straight pro win after five consecutive first-round armbar victories. In fact, until her title win over Miesha Tate went into the final minute of the first round, Rousey has finished all seven opponents (amateur and pro) in 57 seconds or fewer.

In the embedded clip, though, host Kenny Florian echoes a stance UFC president Dana White long has held: There's just not enough depth in the female divisions to justify a move to the UFC.

There's not enough talent out their to make a division right now, but over the next few years that could change. I'm a big fan of Rousey, so i think it would be awesome if she were to ever fight under the UFC brand.

Really do hope they do it down the line despite Dana seeming so against the idea of it. I'm sure there is some good undiscovered female talent out there

I just don't see the appeal of it. At the moment there aren't anywhere near enough talented female fighters to create a solid division but even if there were I couldn't see Dana White adding them to UFC he would continue to run it out of Strikeforce.
