Here we go again with WWE announcing beforehand the return of a big star to the show instead of keeping it a secret and surprise us, basically in a cheap effort to spike the ratings. Whatever happened t the good old surprises? How neat was it back in the day when the shows were CAN’T MISS because (amongst others) you never knew who could show up on any given night and didn’t want to miss out on the fun?
Nowadays, everything is fucking lame. “Oh, don’t miss next week when the Undertaker returns to RAW” or “tune in next week because so and so is coming back”. Surprise me for once, damn it. Make me regret I missed the show and have me think twice about doing so again…
Anyway, as it pertains to Joe (yes, this is Joe we are talking about, not Roman Reigns), the fact that he is making this appearance so soon as well as the fact that he is scheduled to be a guest on “Good morning America” the very next morning pretty much tells me that the news he will deliver regarding his health will be very positive. Should this be the case (which is obviously the most important thing above and beyond anything else), I am very happy for the man and hopefully it won’t take long before we see him back in action in the ring.
As for the Roman Reigns character, I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get there but as far as tonight is concerned, I can’t see him getting physical and I certainly don’t see him taking any bumps. If anything, aside from whatever update he will provide us in regards to his health, I could see some angle played out where maybe he announces he will be in Seth’s corner during the title match with Lesnar or, I dunno, maybe the special guest referee?
