It will be a very special night for the entire ROH organization when the opening bell rings at ROH's first ever show in Tokyo, one of the great wrestling capitols of the world. It will mean something extra special to both ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima and Nigel McGuinness.

The main event on July 16th in the famous Differ Ariake will see Morishima defend the ROH World Title against McGuinness. While Morishima has already successfully defended the ROH World Title twice in Japan (on 3/4 vs. KENTA and 5/6 vs. KAZMA) this match will have extra meaning. This will be Morishima defending the belt for the first time in his home country on an authentic ROH show. As ROH World Champion it is Morishima's job to be the face of the company. Now he gets to do this in his native land.

Nigel McGuinness has been close to winning the ROH World Title on a few occasions. He took Morishima to the limit in a brutal bout at "Fighting Spirit" on April 14th. Many thought he had the belt won on that night. Just last month McGuinness once again proved why he could be the man to defeat Morishima. On June 22nd McGuinness became the first man to pin Morishima in a ROH ring after the Jawbreaker Lariat. Unfortunately for Nigel, it was a tag match and the belt wasn't on the line. However, McGuinness proved he has what it takes to end Morishima's reign of dominance.

"I've worked too hard and too long to stop now," McGuinness said. "It would really be significant if I could win the ROH belt in Tokyo. I think it would really add to the worldwide prestige of the title. I pinned you before Morishima and I know I can do it again. July 16th is one of those nights that you live for. I'm going to make it very special."

"After I show Go Shiozaki why I'm the best in the world," Bryan Danielson said, "you better believe I'll have my eye on Morishima and Nigel. They are fighting for my belt. In fact, I'll put out a challenge right now. I don't care whether it's Morishima, Nigel, Claudio Castagnoli, Brent Albright or anyone else, I challenge whoever is World Champion to defend the belt against me on August 25th in Manhattan."

Ok will with ROH's first ever show in Tokyo it would really add some prestigue to the title if it was to change hands overseas. After all Morishima has had a good 7 month run (correct me if iam wrong) and it would freshen things up abit with a new champion. (not to mention iam not really a big Morishima fan)

But then again it is Morishima's home town and thats what basically makes me believe that the belt wont switch hands there especially considering it's the first time ROH has went to Tokyo.

In the end i think what i think will happen is that we will see Morshima retain and then a Morishima/Danielson/McGuinness feud for the belt which will eclipse in a triple threat with Nigel finally winning hopefully with ROH hosting another show in the UK to make it all the more meaningfull.

Discuss.

Exactly what is going to happen and what I was going to say. Nigel isn't going to win the title in Toyko even though some people would like it to happen, it won't and Morshima is going to win again and enjoy a little bit more of his title run before Nigel finally gets the belt.

See, now I actually see Nigel winning the ROH title in Japan. Morishima stays there handling his business in NOAH and he can come back to ROH in a couple of months to have a re-match with Nigel and the eventual one-on-one match with Danielson.

So mark it down... Nigel will finally, finally win the big one.
