Robert Wagner, Natalie Wood's Daughter Arrested Following Malibu Shooting
38-year-old Courtney Wagner was booked on suspicion of narcotics possession.
The daughter of Robert Wagner and the late actress Natalie Wood was arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession, police said Monday.
According to the Los Angeles Times, police were called to the 24400 block of Piuma Road in Malibu following reports of a shooting on April 22. Courtney Wagner, 38, and Matthew Cox, 24, were at the residence when officers arrived, where they found several handguns and baggies of “what appeared to be narcotics,†according to sheriff’s officials.
Cox was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm in a negligent manner, while Wanger was booked on suspicion of narcotics possession. Both were released on bond.
In November, the Los Angeles Police Department reopened its case into the 1981 death of Wagner’s mother, Natalie Wood. The actress’ death was ruled an accidental drowning at the time. In January, investigators said they had found no new evidence to suggest that Wood’s death was not an accident.
