The team of NWA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Conway and Jax Dane won the NWA World Tag Team Championship in Osaka, Japan during during a three team, two fall match.
The match between the teams of Conway and Dane, The Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr) and IWGP champions Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan saw the NWA titles on the line in the first fall and the IWGP titles on the line in the second fall. Fall one ended when Conway hit the hit the Ego Trip on Kojima for the pin and the second fall saw Archer pin Tenzan making the Killer Elite Squad two time IWGP champions.
This makes Conway the first person to hold two NWA company recognized World championships.
