So yeah, I've talked enough about RimWorld, and I don't want to bog down the main chat with some of my talk about it, so I decided to make it its own thread. RimWorld is a Colony Survival game with a ton of range from casual colony builder, to resource management survival game, all the way to a straight survival horror game. You actually have a ton of choices for the kind of game you want, and some of the starting options are a group of new arrivals looking to forge a new world, a tribe that has existed for some time, a lone man searching for riches, or... you could play as someone who just woke up from surgery, only to realize they are naked and alone on an alien planet.
There are other groups to deal with, and depending on your DLC, they may have opposing ideologies. There is also the Zerg analog and the Borg analog to deal with as well. Not to mention weather, animals, and disease will always play a part in the stories of your colonists. Will your colony find peace and good fortune? Or will your colonists become war-like slavedrivers? Will your colonists be able to survive on this hostile planet? Or will all of your men, women, and (now with the new DLC) children die horrible deaths in the RimWorld? Death is not the end, and tragedy is but a part of the story. It's the RimWorld experience.
