Hi, I just joined. I was wondering if there were any Judo students who watch the WWE and try to name the throws Rhonda Rousey employs. I've studied Judo for years and must really bug the friends I watch with naming the Japanese spelling of each of her throws. Is there anyone else who does this? I'd like to talk....thanks Mark.

Its funny you mention those judo throws Mark...because
I've actually been waiting for the WWE to give them some
kind of "marketable" move names.

"Buy the new Ronda Rousey action figure with actual spring
loaded *Insert move name here* action!"

I guess I just like all wrestling moves to have a name so I
can explain the move & why I like it.

I'm no judo expert (blue belt), but it looks like to me they are O Goshi's and ippon seoi nage. Kinda hard without the gi tho

The only real Judo throws she does is an O Goshi, kind of, and an Ippon seoi nage, or Over-the-Shoulder Arm Drag.
