RFA 13 heads to Nebraska with Dakota Cochrane vs. Efrain Escudero
Resurrection Fighting Alliance will return to the state it started in when it brings RFA 13 to Lincoln, Neb., next month.
RFA 13 takes place March 7 at Pershing Center in Lincoln. The main card will air on AXS TV, including a lightweight main event between former “Ultimate Fighter†hopeful Dakota Cochrane (15-5) and Season 8 “TUF†winner Efrain Escudero (21-7).
“I’m looking forward to returning to Nebraska with RFA 13,†RFA President Ed Soares stated. “Dakota Cochrane and Efrain Escudero are two very experienced fighters that have both headlined RFA shows. I expect them to deliver another exciting main event.â€
Cochrane has been fighting for RFA since the promotion’s first show, but will return after more than a year fighting elsewhere. Cochrane dropped his first two fights for the promotion at RFA 1 and RFA 2, but then won three straight by stoppage for the promotion. He’s lost two of his past three, though, and will be looking to get back on track.
Escudero had a rough stretch where he dropped four straight fights, including two straight in his second stint in the UFC, as well as his debut for RFA at RFA 4. But he won three straight fights in 2013, including a decision win over Ricardo Lamas training partner Luis Palomino and a win under the Bellator banner.
In the co-main event, hometown fan favorite Miles Marshall (3-1) fights Andrew Sanchez (4-1) in a No. 1 contenders bout at middleweight. Marshall went 22-2 as an amateur before turning pro. Sanchez was a four-time NAIA All-American wrestler.
