These are just my own personal thoughts on the two:

The Rey/Punk feud is a lot more intense and personal. Punk comes out, ruins a birthday party, comes out the next week, goes through the pictures of 'what he had done'......he's getting into Rey's head using his family. You can feel the heat between the two and they are both doing a good job of displaying their feelings during this feud. Rey has you pulling for him and his family while Punk has you reeled in at how good he is at fucking with people and knowing what buttons to push to get a reaction. Rey is of course very protective of his family, like anyone would be, and he shows how hurt and angry he is.

The Jericho/Edge feud, on the other hand, is fucking boring. It seems like the entire emphasis is on SPEAR. It just seems like more of a joke and just a way to introduce the spear chant so it can become the new 'what' chant. I don't personally feel anything here, I haven't been drawn into the hate between these two at all. I feel it has far less emotion than the Rey/Punk feud and less excitement.

On the other hand, the Punk/Rey feud is more of a 'sudden' storyline. The biggest thing Punk did was inturrupt a birthday party. I know a lot of people look at it as 'oh well, it's just a birthday party' but you gotta look at it this way: had it been your kid's birthday, you'd be pissed, too, if someone came out and did what Punk did. Other than that, though, it wasn't really all that OMG SERIOUS. Had he beat the shit out of Rey or his wife (or kids, if you want to step over the line a bit more) then yeah, but walking out and trying to intimidate your WM opponent....meh, not a big deal, even though it would anger you, but it's not the end of the world. Everyone walked out in one piece.

Back to the Jericho/Edge feud, with Jericho bragging about putting Edge out, it has a bit more of a point. Problem is, it's just not exciting (imo). Whenever Rey and Punk come out, I'm excited to see what they say to each other and what moves they will make. When Jericho and Edge come out, I know it's just going to end up being one big clusterfuck of SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR.

When it comes to WM, I'm excited about the Punk/Mysterio match. I really don't give a fuck who wins the Edge/Jericho match. I like Jericho a lot, have grown tired of Edge, but this feud isn't making me interested in either of them much. I was never interested in Rey but this feud has me a little more focused. Basically, the two feuds made me not care about a wrestler I usually care about (Jericho) and made me care about a wrestler I usually can't stand (Mysterio, though I hope Punk wins, I am just saying that this feud has me tuned into Rey when I usually just look away and do something else when he comes on).

Anyways, those are just my thoughts on it, what do you guys think? Which one has you more on edge (no pun intended)? Which match are you looking forward to more at WM?

Rey/Punk definately, it has alot more heat and I personally think that they will put a better match on. Edge/Jericho is OK, I am not about to say it is great because it isn't but I don't hate it as much as most on the IWF. I hope they do make Rey/Punk a street fight despite the fact Rey lost to Gallows, and make it so Gallows and Serena are banned from ring side so that we don't see a clusterfuck of interferences. Edge/Jericho won't be that good of a match imo, I think it will based around one move just like their whole feud has been.

That's one thing that will definately suck about the Rey/Punk match is Gallows and Serena. I want to see Punk and Rey beat the shit out of each other without lame interference.

They both have their flaws that turn me away from them.

Rey/Punk: REy randomly costs Punk the MitB qualifier match. Why? He pinned Punk at Elimination chamber. So why is he going after him? It should have been the other way around. Then Mysterio stupidly brings his daughter on SD the week (or 2weeks) after costing somebody a trip to Mania. And then gets mad at Punk for ruining the fun when Rey was the one who started it.

Jericho/Edge: The feud had a lot of potential... in the beginning. But this "spear spear spear" shit is really annoying. I'm guessing it's a way of getting Edge over as a face and get the crowd involved with him. Add all that to the fact that face Edge isn't all that great (imo) and it hurts the feud. Plus it's too one sided. Edge always getting the upper hand on Jericho no matter the odds.

Match wise, they both should be good/great, but I'm not liking the build up.

You'd be a bit pissed if someone randomly beat you up after a match and Rey is always bringing his family on Smackdown and how did Rey start it, you need to watch Smackdown a bit more.

I either missed this part or just don't remember it. I remember Punk vs Shelton as a MitB qualifier and Mysterio comes out to distract Punk, Shelton hits Pay Dirt and wins. Don't recall Punk beating up Mysterio before that.

Yeah before EC, I think when they were doing all those matches with the people that are in it, Rey won but Gallows attacked him then placed Rey on Punk's shoulders and he hit the GTS.

Ok, that was before the EC match. Rey got his revenge AT the ppv by pinning and eliminating Punk. I would think so anyway.

Clearly not revenge enough for him, it probably would make more sense if Punk interfered in a Rey match and then Rey interferes on his match but that's all forgotten about now the rest of the build up has been gold.

The best result of both these feuds currently is the level Punk is on. Fuck, last weeks and this week's SD promos were just awesome, his heel persona has taken him past the stigma of being a fluke world champ into someone, who once he does capture the strap, is going to be fuckin hot.

Matchwise I think Rey-Punk will be slightly better. I'm still unconvinced Edge is still back into peak shape and Rey has probably had the best matches consistently sine last year and Punk can hold up his end of the deal as well. Jericho and Edge will be fun, but if given enough time Punk-Rey can be great, especailly since Rey's size and family involvement will give it that emotion dynamic that makes great matches.

I prefer Rey/Punk in every possible way. I'm sorry but Jericho and Edge is just a sorry excuse for a MANIA title match. With all the time that's been given they could have done so much more to it. Hell, bring up their tag team as the personal aspect of feud, who cares if the breakup didn't really warrant a feud, I'm sure they could have worked something in there. The entire grounds for this feud has been to have Edge spearing Jericho end the night as many times as possible. Jericho was red hot coming off of Jerishow and was capable of such a better title reign than this. Everyone already knows my feelings on this ::gag::...face Edge. Also, if "SPEARSPEARSPEAR!" sticks past this feud I will turn of my TV every single time Edge's music hits.

Rey/Punk is really the dark horse feud heading into Mania. Everything about this has been phenomenal and it hasn't let me down at all. It's largely due to Punks shear awesomeness and having everything he touches turn to gold. His mic work and persona is seriously first class right now. I don't think I need to go into too much detail of why this is the better feud because it's all been said before and is pretty painfully obvious. Punk/Rey should be the WHC match leading into Mania and Edge/Jericho should simply be a grudge match. Then we could have seen Edge chase Punk for the title later in the spring.

I am going with Punk vs. Rey. It is a sudden rivalry, you're right, but even with it being a sudden rivalry it still outweighs Jericho and Edge's feud. Punk and Rey's promo 2 weeks ago on SD was amazing. It was seriously almost disturbing to watch. Somethings in WWE are just hard to watch for various reasons, CM Punk singing happy birthday to Rey's daughter in a very creepy way was just hard to take. Plus then he gave it double meaning when he recalled it on SD last night. I forgot what he said but it sounded very much like a child molester. "I was at Princess Aliyah's Birthday Party last week," I don't know if he was trying to go for that image, but he really played it up well in the form to get mega heat which is great on Punk's part. Only downside to this is that they made it a street fight when it would have been so great being a one on one normal match. Would have been a great feud with a solid opener to WrestleMania. I fear this street fight turning into a Finlay/JBL street fight much like Mania 24. Anyways the match will sure as hell be better than, yet another hardcore match, Bret vs. Vince.

Rey/Punk is a street fight, Bret vs. Vince is No Holds Barred, and HBK vs. Taker is No DQ/Countout. That is a little much don't you think?

Jericho and Edge have one of the least interesting WrestleMania main event feuds that I could remember. It is just completely lame how they played it off. It is almost like WWE thought the whole Edge getting injured last July wasn't enough to base a Mania feud off so they thought up this trash. In some ways it is true. Jericho didn't injure Edge. All Jericho did was make a couple wise cracks about him. That really wasn't that much of a serious feud, but that is way better than having to sit through hearing Edge...and Jericho at that...saying SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR.

I pretty much agree with everything you have said there but, once again I'm repeating myself, I don't mind the 'Spear! Spear! Spear!' thing, I would even go as far to say I like it. Atleast it gives the fans somethig to chant.
