Rey Mysterio News: Is He Headed to SD?, Why Did He Miss Raw?

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Smackdown head writer Michael Hayes is pushing for Rey Mysterio to return to the Friday night brand when the draft occurs next month. At this point it's being said that this is only a desire that Hayes has and nothing has actually been confirmed. Most likely, plans for the draft won't be finalized until the day of the event.

In other Mysterio news, we reported previously that Rey had to miss Raw last week as well as several house show events due to a family issue which The Wrestling Observer is now reporting was a complication his wife was having with her current pregnancy.

To be perfectly honest, despite some more impressive displays in recent weeks, I could care less about Rey Rey now.

Rey has done jack shit since being on RAW. I wouldn't mind if they had actually went through with a feud between he and Punk for the IC title. I think he would be best suited on ECW honestly...he would add some star power and flash to the brand.

Yeah i agree. Send him to ECW at least he would get some decent matches and feuds. He is lost on Raw and Smackdown IMO. There is just to many stars that are better or get better coverage. He would be the big star on ECW.

NO! Stop sending guys that should be on the brands that actually matter over to ECW. They don't belong there

Rey should go back to Smackdown! I always felt that Rey came off as a bigger star on Smackdown!, not sure why. It would be nice to see him come back though, he could be a great addition to the main event scene.
