I host a Rock/Metal show on a pop station it's a little one hour special and for our audio stream we have to do Banners here are four versions I came up with I'd like some feed back on which one you think is the best and how to improve any of them.

First one is by far the best imo.
The brushing makes the guitar stand out from the background and makes the image more appealing. The font works, but I'd suggest making the logo bolder. I'd also suggest either brightening the background or adding a more defined texture to further differentiate the guitar from the background.
Second and third don't really work for me. The background of the second one flows to well with the guitar, so it's hard to differentiate where the guitar ends. The pink background is just too bright and doesn't work with the guitar. I like the font, but I feel the font of the first and fourth is better.
Fourth one is decent. The effects/brushing is a bit overboard, it kinda' has an underwater feel to it.
I'd suggest playing with the background of the first one and going with that.

I went with Version 4, if not that, choose Version 2.

 

[Defiant]

Definately V.1

Its the only one where the text flows perfectly with the rest of the image, and seeing as the text demands some attention since this is promotional, that puts it immediately ahead. It's light-dark contrast also looks much better.

I like version 3, v1 looks good also but not so keen on 4
