Following recent win streaks by both fighters, welterweights Josh Neer (31-10-1 MMA, 4-6 UFC) and Keith Wisniewski (28-12-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) are expected to fight at UFC on Versus 6 on Oct. 1.

Although he's 30 years old, the Indiana-based Wisniewski has been fighting since 1998 with notable career victories over Carlo Prater, Derrick Noble, Pete Spratt, and Jorge Santiago. Wisniewski has been on a six-fight winning streak as of late, with his most recent bout being a one-sided decision victory (with multiple 30-25 scores) over the once highly-touted Chris Wilson back in April. His lone UFC bout was at UFC 56 back in 2005 where he dropped a decision to Nick Thompson.MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) confirmed the planned matchup with event sources.
Neer, on the other hand, is a familiar face to UFC fans, with 10 UFC fights under his belt. The Iowa native was axed by the promotion in early 2010 after losing consecutive fights to Kurt Pellegrino and Gleison Tibau, but now having moved back up to 170 lbs, "The Dentist" has regained his winning ways with four straight wins, all by stoppage, including a TKO over Blas Avena just this past weekend.
