Report: Joe Lauzon vs. Charles Oliveira in the Works for UFC 138 in San Jose

Looking to put the controversy surrounding his fight with Nik Lentz behind him, it appears that Charles Oliveira will next see action in November in San Jose, California. Tatame reports that Oliveira is being lined up for a bout with Joe Lauzon at UFC 138, rumored to take place at the HP Pavillion on November 19th, with a Cain Velasquez vs. Junior Dos Santos heavyweight title fight as the main event:

According to Oliveira’s trainer, the bout is expected to take place at UFC 138. "They spoke about a possible rematch (against Nik Lentz), but he’ll have to go under surgery, so the opponent might be Joe Lauzon", Ericson Cardozo told TATAME Tuesday night.​

The UFC has not confirmed this event or date yet, let alone any fights, but if this matchup comes to fruition, it should prove to be an outstanding fight between two hungry young lightweights that are dangerous in all aspects of the game.
