I sure do. I know there's a lot of negative press on the league as a whole, but to me it was never given a fair chance & should still be around today. The play was improving (by week 6 and on) and they had plans for season 2. Any fans still out there?

I thought it was fun but no more entertaining than crappy college football

It was cool and I wish it lasted because I'd be watching still.

You could listen in on the coaches and stuff right. I remember seeing one game and that was it.

I think the expectations were too high. People were already thinking that they must be good right off, and that was the downfall. If people treat it like other alternatives like the CFL and the USFL, I think it'll still be around today.

"He Hate Me" was like the greatest nickname in all of football with Rod Smart. I remember the opening game of the XFL too when Vince's hair was actually brown.

there was a lot of negative reaction right off the bat surrounding the XFL and the never ending negative media focus by pretty much all sports coverage doomed the league from the start. A lot of it was unwarranted and some people couldn't give the XFL time and were just anxious to see it fail.

another problem was that players were given less than a month to practice which is why a lot of the early season games weren't so good, but the play improved as the season went on.

The XFL had a lot of positives, I actually thought the presentation was quite good and the all-access features of the league were really interesting. Some kinks were being worked out (never was a huge fan of all the "wrestling" stuff they tried to oput in) but the league was a work in progress and deserved at least a 2nd season.

I'm not trying to spam, but that's what XFLInsider is about. It's a site geared towards the XFL that I've wanted to do for quite some time. I have spoken to some players & have heard about a lot of the coaches experiences and it was nothing but positive.

I'm not really happy with Vince not sticking with it longer, and like someone else said it should still be around today. The media attention was awful, and when the football was bad they talked about it, but when it was good they talked about how it wasn't the NFL. You take Vince McMahon out of the equation and I'm pretty positive it would have seen at least a 2nd if not a 3rd year
