Redesigned WWE belts coming soon?

Reddit user dvizzle, who goes by "Da Belt Guy" on BeltTalk.com, who often posts reliable scoops on WWE title belts, stated that there will be new designs for the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt and the WWE U.S. Championship belt. He noted that they were looking into a new Intercontinental championship belt design back in November, and a different source is now saying that both belts will be changed.

"No eta, no clue on design other than it's NOT copies of the Big Logo," he wrote.
The user had first reported last August that the new Universal Championship belt would look like the WWE Championship, except that it would be red to represent RAW.

Booo! If this is to be believed, then I really hope they don't change the IC belt design. That belt > any other belt.

I'd be OK with the US title design and every other belt design being changed (besides the CW title), though.

The new belts are ugly AF.... We know it's WWE, ya don't have to stick your giant W logo on it to be pompous. So much history in the IC, changing it would be an ignorant move. The US Title design could stand to be a little bigger or added to, more metal maybe but probably nothing like those idiots will come up with.

Stop changing stuff just to change stuff... it's stupid & WWE flip flops everything so much that nothing in that company holds ANY prestige what so ever.

It's not the belts that are stale... It's your shitty stories & stars because you don't build anything.

If this is true it's very unfortunate. without a doubt the intercontinental championship is the best looking belt in WWE right now. I understand change is necessary but If anything, for the love of nice things, don't get rid of the white strap! It looks so nice--actually just don't touch the I.C. belt it's literally as close to perfect as a thing can get. On the other hand the U.S. Championship could use a complete overhaul. Maybe copy the I.C. title and do a legacy design. HOPEFULLY they don't do the red/blue strap shit because that'll be ugly AND stupid.

I remember a real nice belt picture was floating around before they debuted the Universal.... turned out to look nothing like it.

I like the silver though, it would be cool if they were only making the 2 top championships gold since that is how it should be and is in most other sports that have belts.

Leave the IC and US belts alone. Don't change every belt to be the same design...I was fine with the World and Women's belts being similar, but this is too much!

Agreed, it probably won't happen. It'll probably be the same design, but with an american flag for US and a Blue strap for IC.:sob:

I don't mind the US belt getting a change, it always looked a bit 'small' compared to IC (which made sense when they were both on the same show).

But yes, leave that IC belt alone.

Change the universal title and US title (although it doesn't look "bad").

The universal title should look like styles title but with red shit.

The us title can go numerous directions, and i do like the images above. But, this belt is specific to the US so it still needs some red, white, and blue. See image attached as an idea; still subject to some change.

The universal title is the worst looking title in the company and it's supposed to be be most prestigious. It's garbage.

And I disagree that the design of belts don't matter. They do to an extent. They don't make or break a feud or anything serious. But, if the belt looks amazing, bad ass, and prestigious. It makes the stars storylines feel like they're fighting for something that not only means they're becoming one of the best in the business; but also that they're fighting for an awesome fucking belt. That looks intimidating.

I have and always will love the IC belt...I hope they
keep it the same...I mean I understand if they make
the leather part of it blue...but leave the overall
design...its classic.
