From now I'm going to be posting a video every week highlighting a certain MMA event that stands out in my mind in recent memory. So today, I'm going to start with BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez.
Diego came into this fight as a feared contender with dominating wins over top contenders (at the time) Joe Stevenson and Clay Guida. But that didn't phase "the prodigy one bit". BJ knocks Diego down early within the first round and nearly finishes the fight but Diego finishes. BJ than controls the rest of the fight, impressively stuffing all 27 of Diego's takedown attempts and picking him apart violenty on the feet over the course of 4 rounds. When the 5 round comes, we learn the difference between a good fighter and a great fighter... see for yourself.
