Reason why Bianca Belair has disappeared from WWE TV

In April, when Bianca Belair made her debut on WWE Monday Night Raw, it looked like she was about to begin a feud with Zelina Vega.

Whatever was planned for that storyline has been dropped and she hasn’t been see much on Raw since last month. Belair closed out the month of May with matches on WWE Main Event and she has been out of weekly Raw storylines. This has led to some on social media to speculate that perhaps there is heat on her and WWE has given up already.

Dave Meltzer noted that Belair’s absence from WWE is simply a creative decision after a decision was made to change course from what she was doing before.

Meltzer said the following on the Wrestling Observer forum: “She was introduced. Then somebody decided on wacky skits she didn’t fit in. So they didn’t put her on TV because she wasn’t in any program. Now it’s a new cycle and we’ll see.”

As seen in the clip below, Belair has support from her peers. Paige and Renee Young are among those in WWE who have a lot of good things to say about Belair and her future in WWE.

For now, it looks like Belair will remain on the sidelines until creative has something for her to do on Raw. It will be interesting to see if Bruce Prichard has the same vision for Belair as Triple H did in NXT. While in NXT, she was portrayed as a high-caliber athlete since that is what she is in real life but on Raw with Prichard looking to fall in line with Vince McMahon, there is no guarantee that we’ll see her booked the same way.

This to me is frigging ridiculous. I literally have no faith in the non NXT part of WWE when people like Bruce Prichard are involved in it.

I think Meltzer is probably right here that the plans just changed once the Profits/Raiders skits caught on more So Belaire wasn't needed as much...I can't believe I'm saying this but maybe Sarah Logan shouldn't have been fired

I love Bianca though and I think the company is high on her regardless so I highly doubt she goes the rest of this year being used poorly but stranger things have happened.

Belair is one of the best athletes in WWE. She's also charismatic and has a unique look. She shouldn't have to fit into the plans for the Street Profits to be utilized on TV.

She shouldn't, I'd just argue her being off TV is more from incompetence than any sort of vendetta against her or heat she has which probably doesn't exist.

I agree Chris. I doubt WWE have lost faith in her or some shit like that. They're just slacking. But stuff like this does bother me because even in this era where women's wrestling has never been more prominent, lots of talented women like Naomi, Carmella, Ruby, etc. still end up doing nothing over half the time.

I wouldn't be as annoyed about this if I thought WWE was maximizing the ridiculous amount of weekly programming they have better....but when I'm not a fan of stuff then I start thinking about who's not being used instead

I'm gonna go ahead and say they didn't have anything planned for her period. I saw the debut after Mania then the show the week after I think it was and if my memory serves me correctly, it was literally the same thing.

NXT talent getting squandered on the main roster, some things never change.

She has a very outgoing personality just like the street profits so I’m not sure why they couldn’t fit her with them. If they want to keep her as a singles star then that’s fine but I really hope she doesn’t fall by the wayside because she’s great. Honestly she’s one of those talents that does much better in front of a crowd because of her personality so maybe when crowds come back they’ll bring her back.
