Reason on the release of Idol Stevens

WWE's web site posted the following earlier this evening:
WWE has come to terms on the release of Idol Stevens as of today. We wish Idol the best in all future endeavors.

According to a reliable source, Stevens was flown to Raw earlier this evening, and was suppose to redebut tonight and when he wasn't written on the show, Stevens told WWE officials he was done. Stevens had threatened to go to TNA.

Rofl, He needs WWE more than they need him and I wouldn't go around with threats to go to TNA like he's a main eventer who will give TNA great ratings when in reality he's just somebody who didn't make the ciut to the WWE roster.

I'll be pissed too if you made me fly to the location and tell me i'm not needed. I don't blame him, but he probably lost the chance to make it in WWE. Then again, he never looked like he would become anything in WWE. Maybe he'll be a main eventer in some small indy company.

That would have actually been more entertaining than one of his matches. He has no charisma and poor in ring ability

Stevens never impressed me at all when he was on Smackdown, I haven't seen any of his work in OVW, so I'm still willing to hold off complete judgement, but this isn't a major loss at all. Idol will probably work some Indy shows then eventually resign with WWE in a year or sadly, TNA will sign yet another WWE cast-off.
