Reality TV Discussion Thread

Following the suggestion I was given, here's a thread for discussing reality tv. Am I the only one obsessed with these reality competition tv shows? My main ones are Survivor (US version at least, I was watching the AU version but I can't find it anymore), Big Brother (US and multiple CA seasons), The Challenge and The Traitors. LOVE those and never miss an episode.

But I also watch the following when they're on...
Amazing Race
Deal Or No Deal Island
The Anonymous (Hopefully it gets a second season)
Jetlagged (Youtube show)

and probably more I'm forgetting.

Only one I ever really paid attention to was Temptation Island, and I don’t even remember much of it sadly.

Challenge 40 was great
I’m a Bananas mark so seeing him take over and give the drama and make great tv was awesome

Plus I’m a Tina fan too so having her on the flagship was great. Seeing her and Bananas bury the hatchet on the behind the scene after math vids made me happy

I hate Bananas so he was the second worst part of the season for me, Laurel being the worst. After hearing what she brought up in her fight with Cara, I'd like her to be forced into a long break from the show. But my girl Michelle getting 3rd (really 2nd but the karma points twist ruined that...) on the most stacked season ever made me so happy.

What do you make of the GOAT discussion between Bananas, Jordan and CT btw?

I hate Bananas so he was the second worst part of the season for me, Laurel being the worst. After hearing what she brought up in her fight with Cara, I'd like her to be forced into a long break from the show. But my girl Michelle getting 3rd (really 2nd but the karma points twist ruined that...) on the most stacked season ever made me so happy.

What do you make of the GOAT discussion between Bananas, Jordan and CT btw?

I agree Laurel is a deplorable human and I can got with out her. I know Johnny is either a love him or hate him guy but he cracks me up. Also I listen to podcasts and watch a lot of the outside the show stuff and he does what he does for entertainment and the fact that Rachel, Tina, and Aviv all have become come close friends with him outside the show says alot about who he really is. But Michele annoys the piss out of me and Devon I’m not or cold on.

The GOAT convo is tricky. I still say Bananas cuz of the number of wins but if I’m being honest Jordan is right with him cuz it’s just so easy for him to win but he doesn’t bring the entertainment like JB does. If CT wasn’t a mental case his first decade he’d probably be one easily.

Cop out answer it’s a 3 way tie can’t take away what they’ve all done

Do you watch Survivor or do you only know Meesh from The Challenge? If you only know her from The Challenge I get not liking her completely, she's a self admitted hot mess on there half the time. I became a fan during Survivor and I like rooting for an underdog. Her and Cara are my girls on there. Devin is hit or miss for me. Corey is my favorite of the guys on there. One day he'll learn to do a puzzle and he'll dominate. One day...

I tend to think CT and Jordan have passed Bananas. Jordan is the most dominant competitor there in a final. CT feels unstoppable in a final too. CT just doesn't do the whole politics of the game.

I'm bummed about that meaning Jonna is gone, I like her. I don't even know who i'm rooting for on there, all my favorites have partners I don't really like. I like Amber, Devin and Ashley but Anessa is a waste of space and I don't like Fessy or Leroy.

I disagree I think CT is a master of social games cuz he just keeps cool with everyone and can Jedi mind trick people to do his dirty work, he was masterful on traitors at just being under the radar even as a giant human and one of the gosts. Yeah never saw her on Survivor but I blame Jay for her being annoying. Corey is wish washy to me not sure he’ll ever get over that hump. Not surprised you have them above JB since you hate him. Noting I can say will change that lol.

I just think Bananas has fallen off and can't hang with the tougher field on The Challenge. Most of his wins came when the talent level wasn't as high. Also I'll never forgive Bananas for screwing my girl Sarah and being a big reason we don't see her anymore.

Jay is an ass, 100% get that. I only dislike Leroy because he's always felt like he's there to play Banana's game not his own. I did like him a little once he got with Kam because I love her. I miss Killa Kam so much.

What did Cara do to get canceled?

JB has made the finals in his last two seasons in his 40s so not feeling that narrative he’s fell off. But I digress and also don’t see that about Leroy at all tbh. And I’ll shoot you a dm about Cara
