OK so there are people on this forum that say NASCAR is not exciting. Well the NASCAR Craftsmon Truck race just concluded from Michigan International Speedway and the race was won byt Eric Darnell over Jonny benson by .005 seconds. And the battle for 3rd, 4th and 5th was 3 wide at the line almost as close.

Now if that is not exciting that what it. Darnell had the lead on the backstretch. Benson got under him and a little passed him off of 4 and right before the line both men moved to the apron of the race track and Darnell just barley got passed Benson and the win for the second carreer win of Eric Darnell in the 99 Ford for Roush-Fenway Racing

Thats exciting to NASCAR fans, not to non fans... I dont think you can convince people to watch/like it, its personal choice... And if you did want to prove it, youd have to do more than just describe one part, I mean, describe the sport and why you like it... but really, most people know what it is, and most people's minds wont be changed...
But if you like it, enjoy it man, and dont worry about if others do.

See the people that think NASCAR is boring are people that have never done it, don't know anything about the sport or don't know anything about cars. See while I watch the race i try to be like a crew cheif and see if i can figure out what the teams should do. When I hear the drivers say what is wrong with the car I start thinking what I think they should do to fix it it and then when they do I see if I was right. NASCR is way more then just turning left, you have to have a good handeling race car and you have to know ho to make the adjustments and such. Plus there is the whole pit strategy. Do you want to go with the 4 tires that will get you the grip. Or you can go 2 tires to help you gain spots. You can even stay out for track position. But then you also have to think about fuel and know how much fuel milage you are getting so you don't run out of gas cause that can bite you n the ass. Just like in any sport if not more strategy is a huge part on who wins. Oh and they don't just turn left, have you ever seen a road course race. Sprint Cup races 2 a year, Nationwide races 3 a year and Trucks race 1 a year where there are both right and left hand turns.

But can u explain why it sucks. See people say it sucks nd all they asy is, "all it is, is car going in circles." But can you give a tchnical explination why it sucks and u don't link it

if anybody wants to watch car racing... you can watch the best one which is Formula 1. Other than this, everything else is 2nd best compared to it.

Atleast Formula 1 you dont just see an oval shaped prix circuit.

I hate to see...I did find something interesting about Nascar at one time...and that was the game...but that was only cuase i would turn around and smash into all the other cars...Then GTA came along...

WS u don't only see oval tracks in NASCAR. Next week they will be at Infineon raceway in Sanoma California and that is one of the biggest and best Road Courses in the United States. Plues about amonth after that you will see them at Watkins Glen
