WWE News: Did Monday Night Raw's Viewership Move Higher After WrestleMania?
After airing its biggest pay-per-view of the year from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., the WWE had plenty to hope for when Monday Night Raw came rolling into full gear.
Fortunately for the WWE, the aftermath of WrestleMania 29 provided a big lift for Monday Night Raw.
The Monday, April 8 edition of WWE Raw, which was live right across from MetLife Stadium at the Izod Center, saw a strong boost in viewership from last week's program (via TV By the Numbers).
WWE Raw got off on the right foot Monday night when its first hour had 4.49 million viewers. Raw's second hour increased to 4.78 million viewers, which was at the show's peak period. The final and third hour of Raw dipped to 4.56 million viewers.
In adults 18-49, Raw scored its highest number during the show's second and third hour, which landed a 1.7 rating. Meanwhile, its first hour was slightly under with a 1.5 rating.
On Monday night, WWE Raw secured the No. 1 spot on cable television's Top 50 list, with MTV's Teen Mom 2 coming in second.
