As PWMania.com previously reported, the June 3rd WWE RAW did a 2.65 cable rating with 3.68 million viewers. This was the third lowest rating for a non-holiday RAW in the last 15 years and the lowest rating for a RAW show not on a holiday night or during football season since July 7th, 1997. RAW faced big competition from the Miami Heat vs. Indiana Pacers game which drew a 8.24 rating with 11.57 million viewers.

In the segment breakdown, the opener with Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon opened at a low 2.72 rating. The Shield vs. Kane, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton gained just 1,400 viewers. The Usos vs. Darren Young and Titus O’Neil lost 450,000 viewers for a show-low 2.39 quarter rating. Big E Langston vs. Alberto Del Rio gained 258,000 viewers in the 9pm timeslot for a 2.58 quarter rating.

Cody Rhodes vs. Sheamus gained 18,000 viewers. Fandango vs. The Great Khali lost 252,000 viewers. The Miz vs. Wade Barrett and the first part of the Chris Jericho and Paul Heyman contract signing gained 338,000 viewers. The second part of the signing plus The Bella Twins and AJ Lee vs. Cameron, Naomi and Cameron gained 116,000 viewers for a 2.74 quarter rating at the 10pm timeslot.

Kane and Bryan backstage plus a vignette for The Wyatt Family lost 328,000 viewers. Bryan vs. Ryback gained 463,000 viewers at 10:30pm, which is a huge increase for that period in the show. The main event rematch with John Cena vs. Curtis Axel gained 430,000 viewers for a show-high 3.14 overrun rating.

Someone give Sheamus an "I Outdrew Del Rio and All I Got was this T-Shirt" T-Shirt.

Surprised (thrilled) that Hunter and the McMahons didn't draw.

Am I the only one that doesn't look at ratings breakdowns and put any genuine stock into them? You can pick up on trends over time but to just look at segment A transition to segment B and some more viewers show up and say "wrestler X draws!!" is Blue IMO.

I think the irony in my OP went over people's heads unfortunately... Anyway, I made that same post a few weeks ago in a rating thread. The same applies when there are big losses and people instantly blame the wrestler (of course Miz gets the blame, it's only right). However, I think these numbers can be useful if there is a consistency between a wrestler doing well/bad with numbers. If you sat in a room with two years worth of RAW breakdowns, you would quite quickly establish that Cena is a draw for example.

Most of us are joking, know Seabs is. There's some stuff you can see from it though.
There's little ebbs and flows (Sheamus gaining viewers really doesn't mean anything), and the top of the hour always draws well so if there's a lackluster top of the hour that's pretty telling.
If there's a huge drop that's an awful sign.

I assumed most knew how to properly read ratings breakdowns but was just double checking. As you were
