Raw Five-Point Preview:
In the most interactive Slammy Awards in history, the WWE Universe can choose the year’s most indelible Superstars, matches and moments on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram — with voting continuing through the weekend — and also live during Raw, exclusively on the WWE App.
How to vote on social media | How to vote on the WWE App
Social media voting concludes at 6 p.m. Monday, with winners revealed on WWE.com and the 2015 WWE Slammys Pre-Show, airing live on WWE.com, the WWE App, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Pheed and Google+. Then, you’ll be able to vote on eight additional categories live during Raw, exclusively on the WWE App:
What else is in store on what’s sure to be a historic night? WWE.com has some ideas.
1.And the Slammy goes to…:
For the first time in history, every Superstar is eligible to become Superstar of the Year, and after you voted all week on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, the winner will be revealed live during Raw, which kicks off at 8/7 C on USA Network.
Superstars have been campaigning all week on social media and WWE.com, and the race to attain this coveted golden grappler has been hotly contested. Who on the roster had the best 2015? What upsets await in the other social media categories, including Rivalry of the Year, Surprise Return of the Year and Tag Team of the Year? Who will win big in Monday night’s WWE App votes, including Diva of the Year, Match of the Year and Extreme Moment of the Year? Monday night’s winners and losers will be decided by you, WWE Universe. Make your votes count!
2.Will Reigns pay the price?:
Roman Reigns might have defied The Authority and the McMahon family Monday night by defeating Sheamus and capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but The Big Dog’s conquest came after leveling Mr. McMahon with a Superman Punch. As countless Superstars can attest, you don’t cross the boss.
What you didn’t see on Raw
On SmackDown, Sheamus claimed that Reigns’ actions — which also included attacking Triple H at WWE TLC —are currently under investigation by The Authority. Then, Reigns utterly dismantled the security team that attempted to remove him from the arena. Despite holding sports-entertainment’s grandest prize, a harsh fate might await The Big Dog on Raw.
3.The Wyatts’ new “extremes”:
After dominating the ECW Originals in a Tables Match at WWE TLC, The Wyatt Family brought the fight to The Dudley Boyz, Rhyno and Tommy Dreamer in ECW’s birthplace of Philadelphia on Raw, defeating the hardcore veterans in an Extreme Rules Match that brought the house down in the City of Brotherly Love.
But what’s next for Bray Wyatt and his dark disciples? On SmackDown, The Eater of Worlds proclaimed, “We are not of this world. We do not obey your rules; we do not conform to your society. Sleep with one eye open, and know that we are everywhere. And we can never stop.”
Indeed, The Wyatt Family won’t be stopped on Raw.
4.Is Becky Lynch reaching a boiling point?:
It’s one thing to watch your friend bend the rules, it’s quite another for that friend to cheat on your behalf. On SmackDown, during Becky Lynch’s match with Brie Bella, Charlotte tripped the Bella Twin and helped The Lass Kicker pick up a submission victory. Not happy with the unexpected assist, Becky confronted her friend about her increasingly deceptive actions, but those concerns were brushed off by the second-generation Diva yet again.
Will Becky’s frustrations continue Monday night, or will Charlotte soon see the error of her ways?
5.Head games:
Kevin Owens seems determined to drive new Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose over the edge, but we’re pretty sure he’s been there and back already. Attacking both The Lunatic Fringe and Dolph Ziggler on Raw, the prizefighter continued his aggressive tactics on SmackDown, getting himself disqualified in a match with The Showoff, escaping a retaliatory beatdown from Ambrose and then taking out a dazed Ziggler with a superkick. If that wasn’t enough, Ziggler — still reeling — mistakenly kicked Ambrose in the skull. How will this unusual turn of events change the Intercontinental Title picture?
