NBC's 'The Voice' beats CBS comedies
NBC’s reality hit The Voice may have slipped in the ratings a little this week (again), but it still dominated Monday night in the adult demo, beating CBS’ tough-to-crack comedy block and ABC’s veteran Dancing With the Stars.
The second week of The Voice‘s live performances delivered 10.4 million viewers and a 3.9 adult demo rating, leading into 10 p.m.’s Smash (6 million, 2.1). Despite a visit from guest star Uma Thurman, the musical drama was steady this week.
Aside from Mike & Molly (9.5 million, 3.2), the CBS comedies all hit season lows, including HIMYM (8 million, 3.4), 2 Broke Girls (8.7 million, 3.4) and Two and a Half Men (10.4 million, 3.5) — better negotiate quick Ashton! Hawaii Five-0 (2.6) perked up slightly and won 10 p.m.
ABC’s Dancing (16.1 million, 2.9) was steady. Fox’s post-birth Bones (7.4 million, 2.1) fell 16 percent, while House (6.1 million, 2.0) was down 13 percent — Fox made a good decision to end Dr. House’s rounds this season, it was the right time.
The CW had Gossip Girl (1.1 million, 0.5) and Hart of Dixie (1.1 million, 0.5), both down a tad.
