Manhunt is a game that could've only existed in the 2000s. It's got the vibe and aesthetic of that Cage film 8MM, where he's investigating a snuff film. You turn on the TV and see Jack Bauer torturing somebody, go to the theater and watch people attempt to escape death traps in SAW, stay for the double feature and watch the Jackass crew self harm for two hours.
As for the actual game, I find the controls rather clunky, and the camera. Once you settle in, it's a solid 8 experience. Oddly slow and methodical for such a violent game, it's unlike any other.
