Rate tonight's episode of Smackdown Live and leave some thoughts about the show.

Opening

The show opened with Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers and the Punjabi Prison lowering. They went over the rules of the match and told the crowd it would be Orton's final resting place. Orton then came out and told him the Singh Brothers were the only reason he was champion. Orton climbed the structure while talking to the trio who bickered back. Orton posed at the top.

Jimmy Uso vs Kofi Kingston

Jimmy Uso won by pin fall.

Mike Kanellis vs. Sami Zayn

Mike Kanellis won by pinfall

John Cena Segment

Cena came out to discuss his flag match with Rusev and was eventually confronted by Rusev who brawled with him. Rusev won the brawl.

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair

Becky Lynch won by submission.

After the match Tamina and Lana came out to the ramp and Natalya sneak attacked Becky and this caused Charlotte to go after her. Tamina and Lana stared each other down after they were the only two women left standing.

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin won by pin fall

Aha! I was right the second time I mentioned it in the chat box. I guessed the 2nd time that Owens was gonna win the title.

This week on "The Becky & Charlotte" Show...

~ And I...I just can't.

I finally get see the match I want...but it means nothing. Its a throw
away match building to a five-way elimination match that we have
already (technically) seen enough times to be sick of.

Becky & Charlotte have great in-ring chemistry...but...having Natalya
on commentary made me watch the match with the sound off.

SmackDown...please stop the team/faction booking, divide these
women and develop some proper feuds....

AND JUST LET CHARLOTTE BE A HEEL!!!

And for the record I'm glad Becky made Charlotte tap out...but it will
eventually mean nothing when Becky herself gets made to tap out or
is pinned this Sunday.

Why can't any woman on the roster build any true momentum?

Alexa Bliss defeats Bayley on back-to-back pay per views...then taps out
to and runs away from Sasha like a coward and then gets pinned by Bayley
twice in two weeks.

What kind of booking is that for a women's champion.

Also Naomi not defending the title at Battleground is fucking pathetic
considering Emma & Mickie James are sitting backstage on RAW DOING
FUCKING NOTHING!!!

Why not Naomi vs. Charlotte at Battleground and a 5-way elimination match
including Carmella for the shot at Summerslam?

Naomi still hasn't defeated anyone of real importance yet. She defeated
Alexa Bliss 3 times (who was moving to SmackDown anyway) and Lana 3 times.
No one else.

Why not have Naomi actually defeat Natalya, Charlotte or Becky Lynch...you know...
to make her look like a credible champion...can we do that?

Oh...and just because Carmella has the briefcase doesn't mean she should not
be wrestling! Corbin is still wrestling every week!

I'm sorry...I just can't handle this...

I just want some decent, different or interesting story lines for the women's division.

And I'm done...

In my opinion SmackDown is still better than RAW...but both women's divisions
are currently stuck in a rut...and its depressing.

6/10

Was overall good, just missed a big moment to put it over the top.

Jinder explains the Punjabi Prison match rules, then says there are no rules.

He obviously meant outside interference and weapons are legal but lol that confuses everyone.

I gave it an 8 at first but after reading all these honest and smart posts on here, I remembered that this was an easy, run-of-the-mill show to get straight to Battleground. I mean they had already laid out the gist of the story between the last 2 or 3 shows for what they possibly had planned for this PPV. SmackDown Live continues to do a very well job overall with some shaky areas like the women's division but that's both shows and repetitive matches like New Day members and the Usos brothers in single competition. So I wound up giving this week's SmackDown Live a 6 out of 10, plus there's no more Talking Smack (because the decided to cancel it weekly and only use it for PPVs) which really sucks. I gave it a 6. I was neither wowed nor really bored. I'm not as happy with where Smackdown is now compared to a while back but it still is entertaining.

I gave it a 10/10 and if I ain't mistaken, this may very well be the first time I've gone with the perfect score.

Was it worthy of a 10/10? Obviously not but...fuck it, the Fashion X Files alone just made my night :)))))))

It saddens me to say this, but I was fairly bored. Jinder didn't excite me for once, Kofi was pretty cool until he twerked in Uso's face, Kanellis and Zayn was boring, Cena was boring, Becky and Charlotte was great but I was too out of it, and I zoned out during the tag match because I was so bored. There wasn't anything that left me sour, I just felt like I could've skipped this week altogether, which considering Smackdown a few months ago is really disappointing to say the least

Note: During Charlotte v Becky, all I could think about was how @Grievous was going to react. In hindsight that's a little weird on my end

I'm from winnipeg you idiot
Pros :

+ Orton's promo was quite strong tonight.

+ The Fashion X Files.

+ One of the Usos vs Kofi was ok. Nothing special, but nothing bad really.

+ Charllote vs Becky was really really good. I am really glad that Bekcy got the win.

+ Good main event.

Cons :

- Jinder RAISE YOUR TONE when you speak ffs. His promos really aren't doing anything for me.

- Sami jobbing to Mike Kanellis. I get it, its his debut match, plus he didn't win clean, but you have countless other guys on the roster he could have beaten.

- The John Cena generic USA promo. Seen it a million times, don't need to see it again. Rusev attacked Cena at the end of the segment, and put him in the accolade, confirming his loss on sunday.

Overall : A typical SD episode, which isn't a bad thing. They have their formula, and they are sticking with it. Still I think they need to cool it off with the tag team match main events.

Grade : B-
