Comment and stuff
— Smackdown opened with Dolph Ziggler arriving backstage. In an interview, he said he carried Kevin Owens last week. Owens arrived and interrupted his interview. Owens and Ziggler brawled, but were separated by security. Shane McMahon showed up and cancelled the night’s main event. He told Owens to get in his car and leave. McMahon said he has a few ideas of what the new main event will be.

— Owens showed up in the crowd and grabbed a mic. He said McMahon has gotten more tv time than anyone on the roster and no one ever wanted that. McMahon came out and cut his mic. Owens grabbed another mic and told McMahon everytime he calls himself the Best in the World, it’s a slap in the face to the locker room. Security came running down to get Owens, but he escaped through the crowd.

1. Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Finn Bálor. Nakamura dropped Bálor with the Kinshasa on the outside, but he recovered to beat the count. Back on the inside, Nakamura connected on another Kinshasa for the pinfall.

— Backstage, McMahon announced Ziggler would go one-on-one with Roman Reigns in the main event. McMahon said he, Drew McIntyre and Elias would be ringside for the match.

— WWE recapped Samoa Joe’s attacks on Kofi Kingston. Joe cut a promo that he’ll take the WWE championship.

— Bayley and Nikki Cross came out for the contract signing for the WWE Smackdown Women’s title match. Bayley tried to talk some sense to Cross, but she wasn’t hearing it.

2. Nikki Cross defeated Carmella. Cross pinned Carmella after hitting a spinning neckbreaker.

— WWE recapped Kairi Sane and Asuka’s win over the IIconics in Japan. Backstage, Paige told the IIconics she wants a tag team title match soon.

3. Otis defeated Xavier Woods and Daniel Bryan. Otis got the pinfall on Woods with a slam.

— Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville continued bullying Ember Moon. They challenged Moon to a tag team match against her and a partner of her choosing next week.

— Aleister Black’s opponent at Extreme Rules revealed himself to be Cesaro.

4. Roman Reigns defeated Dolph Ziggler. Owens ran into the ring to stun McMahon. After taking out McMahon, Reigns got the pinfall on Ziggler with a spear.

I will be generous and give it an 8. The whole thing with Kevin Owens was done perfectly. And honestly, I think he was more like the transition from Stunning Steve Austin to Stone Cold Steve Austin. It really wasn't until after Wrestlemania 13 that Austin really adopted the whole tough SOB thing. He still portrayed some occasionally fearful and whiny mannerisms. That was the Austin I liked in WWF. KO is doing that Austin well.

But yeah, with Owens, it would be a 2 or so. He carried the show.

You're welcome, by the way
