Opening

Carmella came down and showed a video of Asuka, but claimed she is not who claims to be. She showed a video of Asuka tapping out to Charlotte and claimed it was the real Asuka. She then showed Asuka and Becky Lynch losing a tag match and getting beat by Sonya Deville. She claimed that everyone, including her was ready for Asuka.

Asuka came to the ring. Before she could speak Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville came out and claimed that they now knew the truth and Mandy Rose could beat Asuka tonight. Deville claimed that Rose left just enough Asuka for her. Carmella then told Asuka she was a shadow of herself and should leave. Paige then came out and gave Asuka the choice between Rose and Deville and Asuka chose both. Paige made a handicap match.

Asuka vs Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

Asuka won by making Deville tap out. Carmella came into the ring after the match and Rose tried to attack Asuka from behind but got knocked out. Carmella then attacked Asuka with the belt.

Karl Anderson vs Luke Harper

Anderson won by pin fall

Jimmy Uso and Naomi vs Aiden English and Lana

Jimmy and Naomi won by pin fall

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair

Becky Lynch won by tap out

The New Day vs Rusev, Miz and Samoa Joe

The New Day won by pin fall when Joe and Rusev turned on Miz after Miz accidentally threw pancakes on them.

The show just felt average it had some decent/good points, but not enough to hold my attention.

Honestly I loved it. Raw yesterday was beyond awful, but this one shines in every way (by WWE standards at least). Everything was smooth, everything made sense, the crowd was great, minus one or two akward lines the segments were good, minus the Karl Anderson vs Luke Harper match the matches were solid, ect.

Also, Becky v Charlotte was the perfect example of a friend vs friend match. Competitive with one or two breaks for comedy

The good:
  • Asuka vs. Mandy and Sonya. Although it's kinda funny to see the duo take the L here despite having interference in their favor, it makes sense given how we're supposed to perceive Asuka. The two looked pretty impressive during this match. Also, that botched knee lift towards the end of the match was sick. As were the simultaneous roundhouse kicks.
  • Charlotte vs. Becky. Great wrestling and great comedy that didn't take anything away from the match. The fact that Charlotte lost makes me think WWE's selling an "out of touch" Charlotte in order to make it seem surprising whenever she wins MITB. I'm crossing my fingers in the hopes that Becky'll win, but I'm certain it won't happen. If Asuka beats Carmella prior to the MITB match, then Charlotte's going to win; if Charlotte wins MITB prior to the title match, then Asuka's gonna win.
  • Six-man tag. Fun match, bad finish that shouldn't close the show. Joe is such a baby that a pancake barely making contact with his back is enough to make him walk out of a match? Seriously? That doesn't seem within his character at all. Rusev should've gotten more time in the ring as well. He just kinda...existed.
  • The finish for the mixed-tag match. It was clever, but I didn't give a shit about the match itself and skipped to the end.
  • Joe's promo. Intensity is this man's middle name.
The bad:
  • Carmella's commentary. She's like Stephanie McMahon if Stephanie was even worse on the mic. This woman does nothing but repeat herself over and over as if re-enacting a Heyman promo. Eat, sleep, mention I defeated Charlotte twice and Asuka didn't, repeat! What a great heel! How creative! Stand aside, Joe, this is how a REAL star behaves on the microphone! Did I mention it's MELLA IN THE BANK yet?
  • Styles having to do another segment with Nakamura instead of just having a good match with someone. At least Jinder Mahal beat Randy Orton during their neverending feud. Why should I care about this loser that can barely speak English, can't put on good matches, spends more time focusing on AJ's balls than his wife does, and can't even get the job done when the title's on the line?
  • Anderson vs. Harper. Just a few slaps and a roll-up.
  • Dumb finish for the main event. I touched up on this earlier.
  • Naomi wrestling. She's boring and eats up time.
  • Lana "wrestling". Please just stop.
  • Becky's fishnets. You're not gonna catch any tuna in the ring, honey.
Conclusion: 6/10. Mostly good show with room for improvement.

-Where's Jeff Hardy? Isn't he the US champion? I know Randy is injured but you could of got a contender to replace him. Like Shelton.

- New Day have been consistently the best team on SDL. The six man tag was fun and that Kofi spot was great. The backstage segment with Miz and New Day was funny af.

- Naomi is so underrated. She flies all over the place. Naomi is always fun and I was surprised by the chemistry she had with her husband. The Uso's seem to not be doing anything atm. I want to see them get back into the title hunt eventually.

- Big Cass had a terrible promo. He delivered the promo fine, but what he was saying absolute bullshit and made no sense. "a good little guy can't beat a good big guy"...then Cass must be a bad big guy cuz he lost to Bryan clean. People always moan that the heels are always right...not in this case. Cass is just so stupid. His career is over.

- Charlotte vs Becky was a good match. Nice to see Becky get a big win. They are like the opposite to Banks and Bayley

- Karl vs Luke was just one of those wrestling cliche matches that we have seen a thousand times before when building up to a tag title match.

Overall this show was above average but nothing really special. But if you compare it to Raw it seems so much better so I will give it a 7/10. I wonder if SDL have got their writers back from Raw.

If I was in charge of WWE creative I would legit find out who is responsible for the lack of direction for wrestlers and long term storylines and get rid of them...that would probably be Vince tho. But there must be some shitheads on the creative team.

I don't know about y'all but I am sick of the Miz. Yeah his job is to be an egoistical prick which he does very well.and there is no question he has tremendous skills. It is just the personality he has been allowed to develop that on top of everything else His so called movies are direct to video. As cheap as porno movies. I remember a few years ago when Ric Flair tried to help him get the figure four set up but his ego didn't need a 16 time champion showing him what to do. Yea, I don't like the guy but then again he might be playin' me.

When I watch most of the time it's 10/10; very rarely even in a PG
setting does it fail expectations; Becky is champion so it wins outright.
