Just got back from the Scotiabank arena. I'll try to give a live perspective from the show since I attended live.

Main-Event taping had No Way Jose defeating Tyler Breeze and Ruby Riott defeating Ember Moon.. If anyone gives a shit.

Roman starts the show AGAIN, with tons of boos. Most over heel on the show by far. Strowman comes out, wasn't as over as I thought he'd be, but still got a good reaction. This was a pretty boring segment overall.

Baton Corbin vs. Finn Balor again. I was furious they booked this match again. I knew it would be another 15+ minute match that nobody gives a shit who won.

Dana Brooke and Sasha, I bought a Bliss T-shirt at the merch stand during this match, neither performer was that over during their entrances.

Next was Owens vs Rollins. Holy fuck, nobody on this show got a pop like Owens got. That was a nice surprise seeing him answer Rollins open challenge, in an excellent match.

Then Owens sits in the ring for the next 5 minutes just to announce he quits.

Elias performs, then he insults Toronto, which brings out Trish Stratus to a huge pop. Kinda thought she might be there since it's Toronto and she has a match scheduled for Evolution. Another nice surprise.

Alicia vs Natalya, not gonna lie, don't give a single fuck about either woman here. Natalya was kinda over, at least Ronda was apart of that.. Never had the opportunity to see her live in the UFC before.

Next few matches was nothing special, the fans didn't care for Lashley vs Ascension or Ambrose vs Mahal. 2 boring matches

The main-event was decent.. The ending everybody took as a Strowman heel turn, not sure how it came across on TV.. but Strowman holding Ziggler and McIntyre's hands up looks like he's a heel.

Decent show overall 7/10

So the Shield are going to be face then I guess. I hope turning Braun don't ruin things for him.

First Becky and now Strowman, all the super over babyfaces they're turning.. but they refuse to turn Roman heel.
Yup and they wonder why people question what the heck they are doing most of the time and why their fans don't "cheer" properly.

Speaking of I have to ask... Want to make a thread but.
For those of us not watching Raw, what will it take for you to tune back in?
They have the talent, they need proper storylines so fire most if not all of creative and get some new ideas on the table.
Also, you may enjoy this: Funny Wrestling Pictures

EDIT: Ehh. I will make a thread for this actually so this thread stays on topic. lol

For me, the closest I got was last fall. The Rollins vs Jordan angle and Strowman's rise sounded like pretty good TV.
The easiest way to do it though is simple... two hours...

What a waste of two extremely talented women.

Put them back in NXT!!!

Dana Brooke and Sasha, I bought a Bliss T-shirt at the merch stand during this match, neither performer was that over during their entrances.

Sasha vs. Dana Brooke?

Seriously this company is fucking awful...

The main-event was decent.. The ending everybody took as a Strowman heel turn, not sure how it came across on TV.. but Strowman holding Ziggler and McIntyre's hands up looks like he's a heel.
So...they've teamed up Strowman with McIntyre (who is being completely
wasted on the main roster by the way) with Ziggler to appose the Shield.

I swear its going to be like Rollins/Reigns vs. Owens/Jericho all over again...
every fucking week...the same matches...repeated over & over again.

This just goes to prove my point that the company never wanted Strowman
over as a babyface in the first place & have simply been using him as a draw
because Reigns does not. That's why Strowman has been booked so poorly
since No Mercy 2017...he's been held back & been given absolute tripe to work
with when he should have been pushed to the very top at SummerSlam 2017.

Another career being derailed & stalled because of the greasy haired Plank of
Wood & his tone deaf push.

Vince...you senile old fool...JUST FUCKING STOP IT ALREADY!!!

First Becky and now Strowman, all the super over babyfaces they're turning.. but they refuse to turn Roman heel.
Its because whoever is making these decisions has their head
so far up their own ass all they can see is multiple shades of
brown.

Yup and they wonder why people question what the heck they are doing most of the time and why their fans don't "cheer" properly.
They don't care what the fans want to see...they just expect them to
react like circus seals & clap for everything they dish out.

For those of us not watching Raw, what will it take for you to tune back in?
Triple H taking full control of the main roster...
or
Roman Reigns & Alexa Bliss suffering serious injuries
& being ruled out for a year plus.

Yeah...I just typed that.

I'm so sick of both of them that I want them gone so
someone else can have a chance in their positions.

in other news, Raw's back on a 3 mil rating and it's still going up so people can't use "that's why the ratings are dropping" as an argument anymore! What a time to be a wrestling fan!
  • Owens vs Rollins was great, interested to see where this quitting angle will take Owens
  • Strowman cashing in for HIAC is a great move given that the stipulation will keep the Shield out of the equation and the match will be utter mayhem. I guess Strowman turned heel tonight, which doesn't change much because his character's almost the same either way. But his heel persona definitely fits him more so I'm fine with that
  • Baron Corbin's really finding his footing as the slimy GM, changing the match stipulation after he lost to restart the match again is such a GM fantasy and something anyone would do if they had the chance to lol
  • I hope Natalya doesn't overdo it with the dad stuff. Like, I get it, it's probably hard to lose your dad but let's not take advantage of it to get cheered
So the Shield are going to be face then I guess. I hope turning Braun don't ruin things for him.
tbh I think it's gonna help him because his heel stuff is what got him over in the first place and he didn't really find his footing as a babyface anyways, but time will tell I guess

Overall I think it was a good Raw, their storylines make sense and the matches were good. Nothing that blew me out of the water but a reasonable show to build up towards HIAC nonetheless. 6/10

This was a a decent episode of Raw.

Roman had a good promo that exposed Strowman as the massive pussy that he is. Strowman is the heel in my eyes. Strowman Vs Reigns in HIAC could be one of the best cash ins.

Kevin Owens is probably the most well developed character in WWE today. Rollins Vs Owens was great. Owens quiting made sense and is interesting.

Corbin as GM is good. This guy is over as a heel. Balor getting some sympathy.

Trish Stratus and Elias talking shit to each other was just straight up entertainment.

The main event was good. It made sense. Strowman hates the Shield. So why wouldn't he team up with Drew and Dolph?

Natalya beating was nice. Mickie James is hot as fuck. Ronda being freinds with all the babyfaces is weird. Seems like she is out of place taking a selfie with the Bella Twins.

Can't remember anything else. I just watched the YouTube clips so this episode is 6/10

I honestly wish I could be as positive about this show but unfortunately WWE won’t allow me to do so. This is actually quite frustrating because on one hand they get us all interested and intrigued with the KO “I quit” angle, yet on the other hand they serve us with a pile of shit during the main event that I fell makes no sense whatsoever.

As far as the Kevin Owens situation goes, hey, props to WWE for giving us something to think about and something to be looking forward to in the weeks to come. I’ve personally complimented KO on numerous occasions in the past and even dared to put him up there with the Rock when it comes to him talking and cutting promos so I’m very satisfied they (WWE) seem to finally have something for him to do after the debacle at Summerslam. You simply can’t be treating KO like a jobber, so hopefully this storyline ignites something big for him. Too early to take any guesses as to where this is leading (haven’t really given it any thought to be honest) so for the time being I’ll just wait and see…

As for the other main storyline, the stupidity just baffles me. Like, at the beginning of the show you have Braun doing the baby face and honorable thing by announcing ahead of time he’s cashing at Hell in Cell, giving Roman Reigns a fair warning while at the same time justifying his decision by claiming that inside the Cell Roman’s brothers can’t interfere. So far so good, right? Yet at the end of the show, Braun turns on Roman having apparently planned it the whole time, drops the “I’m not finished you” line, teams up with Drew and Dolph, does a triple beat down and leaves Roman laying. Wouldn’t that be the PERFECT time to cash in? Does this not make Braun look like a complete idiot?

And then you look at the save situation. Last week, while Braun was attempting to cash in, Shield music hits and both Rollins and Ambrose storm into the ring in gear and all and help Roman out. This week Roman is getting beat on a 3 on 1 situation and you have Rollins and Ambrose come out…separately? Why are they not coming out together as the Shield again? Does this not make both Rollins and Ambrose look stupid or like a couple of buffoons?

Not to mention:

a) why would you take your second hottest face (Braun) and turn him heel?
b) why is Bobby Lashley facing the fucking Ascension?
c) why are Corbin and Balor still fighting?

- You wanna turn someone heel? How about Bobby Roode you dumbfucks?

- Great to see Trish again and must I say, she looks hotter then ever…

- So basically Hell in a Cell will be a repeat of Summerslam? Sigh....

7/10 - generous rating only because Rollins/Owens was so fucking good. Braun turning heel is stupid. Yay, after being the side-act of the Sasha/Bayley storyline, next week The Riott Squad get to job out to the Bellas! ugh. I personally like Corbin as a heel GM, and he put on another decent match with Finn. It would be nice if they let Elias have a proper feud - shouldn't he have a match with Lashley at HiaC to end their feud, since they didn't have a match at SummerSlam?
