Opening

Seth Rollins came to the ring and immediately brought out the AOP. He talked about how everyone claimed he was the future but then turned on him. He portrayed himself as a leader and Kevin Owens as an example. He told everyone the AOP will enforce his will.

Rollins told the audience he had to settle a score tonight and that the crowd would not like it.

The Viking Raiders vs the OC

The OC won by pin fall

Erick Rowan vs Jobber

Can you guess who won? Come on, take a guess.

Lana and Bobbly Lashley

Lana told Bobby to propose to her and he did and she said yes.

Gauntlet Match to Determine New #1 Contender to WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio: R-Truth vs. Matt Hardy vs. Andrade vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Ricochet

No winner announced. After the match, Rollins with the AOP attacked Mysterio

After the commercial Rollins challenged Mysterio for the title.

Deonna Purrazo vs Asuka

Asuka won by tap out

Randy Orton vs AJ Styles

Orton won by pinfall. The OC attacked and then Viking Raiders then came out. The OC was left standing,

I liked it. Good action throughout, ending solidified a more violent and dangerous side of Andrade, gained sympathy for babyface Humberto, and furthered the Andrade/Zelina tension. 6 guys got the spotlight for a whole hour and took advantage of the opportunity to shine, an opportunity not many guys are fortunate to get. Also led very smoothly into the awesome Seth/Rey segment, something i have been noticing a lot on Raw lately, yhe shows flowing really nicely instead of each show being separated by 15 minute segments.

Don't worry, I suspect I also know your response to that, and I'll counter that by asking why all matches need definitive winners? Especially this one that managed to accomplish all of the things I mentioned above.

Okay, let me state this first, my problem is NOT the match itself, it did all the stuff it said you did and then some.

But, come on, WWE had all of us get invested for a whole hour into a match, waiting to see who would become the number 1 contender for the United States championship, only for it to end without a finish? and whats worse, the guy who becomes number 1 contender wasnt even in the damn match in the first place!? Hell andrade stood tall at the end did he not? surely he should be the one given a shot if ANYONE deserves one its him, but no.

And no, we dont always have to have a finish i get that, but if your gonna ask me, the fan, to get invested in the outcome of something as important as a number 1 contenders match, then yeah, it needs a finish, hell id give it a pass if andrade was number 1 contender, but instead he isnt, and seth just shows up and hes number 1 contender despite doing nothing to earn it and andrade gets nothing? you cant seriously tell me it makes sense regardless of the seth rey angle afterward. And better yet, isnt seth supposed to be fueding with owens? also isnt seth injured? it just makes no sense, andrade practicly won the match despite there being no finish (and by the way according to WWE.com Andrade did infact win) so why the hell is seth rollins the number 1 contender? How is seth the number 1 contender, when Andrade won the match to determine the number 1 contender? whats the point in having a number 1 contendership match and having andrade *win* and thus logicly becoming the number 1 conterder if your just gonna have seth decide HEY! i wanna be number 1 contender and just going that route?

It makes no sense.

So Seth, a heel, did heel things, and you're angry about it? I fail to see what the issue is...

Also, when was Seth ever declared number 1 contender? I can't find anywhere that says the match he's having is a title match. So if Andrade was declared the winner on WWE.com, that means he's still number 1 contender and this whole Seth thing is probably just something to do in the meantime as it gets closer to actual Rumble build, where the Andrade/Rey title match will most likely take place

I mean, when I do heel things people hate it so.

Seth said that he was going to challegene Rey next week for the belt. He never said he was the number one contender. So Andrade is still the number one contender regardless of who wins between Rey and Seth,

Im not angry about seth being a heel, im angry because it makes no sense!

And guess what? if seth is not the number 1 contender, then why is he getting a title shot BEFORE andrade who is the number 1 contender!? And yes, as Seth shown above seth rollins IS challegeing for the belt, whats the point in having a number 1 contender when he isnt the next guy challengeing for the belt?

Heels have been doing this type of thing forever, and that is why Seth did it to draw heat. As well, being number one contender doesn't mean you have to have your match next week or anything. It means you have a right to challenge the belt at any point in time. So Andrade could be waiting to see the results next week and then challenge Rey or Seth,

Stop giving Jeffry excuses and ideas! why are you even here helping him!?!

And no! being the Number 1 Contender means and has ALWAYS meant that person is next in line for a title match, so ya know what? lets just move on from the fact WWE wasted a hour of everyones time and investment, because clearly thats a point im never gonna make successfully despite the damn clear evidence of such, so lets move on to next week.

Logicly speaking, if im andrade and i won a match which makes me number 1 contender and next in line for a title shot again Rey, and seth rollins just appears out of nowhere and gets a title match before i do, logicly ima be mad and upset about that, and if im andrade im not gonna let seth get away with it. So next week, Andrade should cause Seth to win by DQ and therefor not becoming champion. (Which gives Rey an out since hes against seth likely with AOP at ringside so its practicly 3 on 1 because heel stuff like yall said) and that gives WWE several options going forward.

...Right?

I have no loyalty to no one and will help out anyone if needed. Also, because while I and he may not always agree on same thing sometimes he makes valid points just like you do at times. I take no sides, but I am willing to help if I agree with one side more than the other.

Yes, you are the next person in line to face the champion, but it doesn't say WHEN you have to face the champion, now does it? No, it doesn't. Also, it was and wasn't a waste because you got to see an hour-long wrestling match without promos or anything, which is something you don't see in WWE hardly. I mean, Tozawa v R-Truth was good, Tozawa v Ricochet was good, and so forth. As well, the ending is basically building up Andrade v Humbertoand it will have a payoff. If you see it as a waste of time then fine, but don't proclaim it like your opinions grander than others. While I didn't care for the payoff in the end; I can say I enjoyed the matches that happened.

That could very well be Andrade's plan and again it would make sense. He wants Rey to stay champion so he can take it from him and there you go. On the flip side, which is highly unlikely, you can see it as Andrade will let Seth win and then go against Seth because he will be taking on one the top people in WWE and if he wins against him, again something that may not happen, then he has a belt and has beaten one of the top people in WWE and thus moving him up on the ladder.

So, all in all, was the Number One Contender match a waste, according to some yes, according to some more no, and according to a very small amount yes and no. As far as Andrade costing Seth the match and such, I am all for it since he did that in CMLL plenty of times and it fits his character, but if Seth gets the belt from then Andrade will be the first to get a title and there you go. Also, if this comes off as being a dick or whatever you want to call it, then I apologize as that is not my intention.
