Ladders and snakes— ladders give, snakes take. Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief. You ain't got a hope in hell, but me, I've got a hope to liveblog this here pro wrestling show, folks.
Show opens with Goldberg making his entrance from backstage and all the way through his sparklers and whatnot.
He gets on the mic and thanks Green Bay for chanting his name. He continues, saying last week Kevin Owens came out in his nice little suit with his nice little spotlight and did what he does best, talk and talk and talk and talk until he couldn't talk anymore and then he kept talking.
He's not gonna do that, but he's in a hell of a good mood because he's six days out. From his heart, he has never made a promise that he didn't follow through with. So he promises that next Sunday, at WWE Fastlane, spear, jackhammer, 1-2-3, Goldberg becomes Universal Champion and takes it to WrestleMania to face Brock Lesnar.
As sure as he's standing here, he promises everyone in the crowd, everyone at home (aw, you don't have to, Bill!), his wife, his son, Kevin Owens, everybody, that he will deliver. He tells Kev he'll see him Sunday and KO's music hits.
Owens strides out on stage in a suit, title belt over his shoulder. He asks Goldberg about his mood and says he's in a good mood as well! He's happy to see Bill here and he says he got a lot of things off his chest but one thing was missing, Goldberg. Now he can tell him face-to-face what he thinks.
It's funny that Goldberg promised his wife and son, because he promised himself that he'd grab WWE by the throat and make them see what Kevin Owens is all about, and how? On his first night here, he beat John Cena. Goldberg claps, and Owens says he should, because he beat the poster boy for the last decade on night one.
But he didn't stop there. Dean Ambrose? Beat him. AJ Styles? Beat him. Seth Rollins? Beat him. Roman Reigns? Beat him too. And no matter how loud these sheep chant for Goldberg, well, he's next. And he doesn't mean it in the cute way Bill does where it's his catchphrase, but he's telling him face-to-face that Goldberg is the next one in the evolution of Kevin Owens.
Goldberg says everybody should give KO a hand for such a moving speech and as entertaining as it is, it did nothing but piss him off, so why wait until Sunday? Owens says he doesn't speak Neanderthal very well but he assumes he wants to go right here, right now?
Fine, he'll do one better, Owens vs. Goldberg in a Green Bay Street Fight! Or not, because Green Bay doesn't deserve to see him fight. But don't worry Goldberg, they're gonna fight Sunday and Owens can't wait to stand over him, title in hand, after the pinfall and all Bill hears is complete and utter silence.
Trust him, he finishes, on Sunday the Goldberg chant dies.
New Day are handing out t-shirts backstage as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Big E does the deal and the New Day make their entrance, feeding cereal to the front row and all. Xavier Woods reiterates that they're gonna host WrestleMania, they have a lot on their plate. But Kofi Kingston says they should worry about what fills their plate, and Big E agrees.
Xavier says we want more, and Kofi says, after they get in the ring, that we want that ice cream. And they want us to have the ice cream! New Day Pops, a mouthful of magic, I gotta have it. But before they feed us like baby birds, Big continues, they gotta take the shine off the Shining Stars.
The Shining Stars, obligingly, come out in response to this. Meanwhile, a member of the ring crew brings Xavier a red envelope, and he apologizes, saying they're not actually in this match. Their match is later, against the Big Show, and the envelope actually shows Rusev & Jinder Mahal as their opponents.
Jinder Mahal & Rusev vs. New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods)
Jinder and Xavier to start, Woods gets a waistlock but Jinder fights out. Off the ropes, lariats ducked, Xavier takes him over with a headscissors, flying forearm, tag to Big. Shoulder block, he shoves Mahal into an Honor Roll for two! Woods takes Rusev out with a dropkick, E hits a running splash on Jinder on the apron and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Rusev has a front chancery locked on Woods to keep him grounded. Xavier fights out with a jawbreaker, tries to jump over for the tag but Rusev catches him and takes him to the ropes for some trapped knee lifts to the ribs and a fallaway slam that gets two.
Tag to Jinder, boot to the head, off the ropes for a knee drop that gets two more, then he slows it down with a rear chinlock. Woods eats a back elbow off the ropes when he tries to escape and the Bulgarian Brute comes in with a headbutt and an elbow drop before posing for the crowd.
Xavier throwing hands to the gut, forearms to the face, but Rusev picks him up and slams him into the turnbuckles before throwing shoulder thrusts. Choking knees, whip across but Woods gets the boots up and is fighting for the tag. Off the ropes, Xavier goes for a crossbody, Rusev catches him, Woods escapes and connects with an enzuigiri.
Tags made, Big E comes in like a freight train with the trifecta of belly-to-belly suplexes, hip swivel, off the ropes for the big splash and he's clapping the rhythm. He runs Rusev off the apron, going for the Big Ending, but Mahal kicks him out of the ring.
Woods got a tag, diving crossbody but Rusev breaks the pin up and kicks E off the apron himself. Xavier keeps his wits about him...
New Day win by pinfall with a bridging O'Connor roll from Xavier Woods on Jinder Mahal.
Rusev yells at Jinder as New Day celebrate up the ramp.
Commentary hypes up a women's tag for later in the night and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Michael Cole hypes up the Beth Phoenix Hall of Fame announcement for later tonight.
We get a recap of the #1 contender's match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship before we head backstage with Enzo & Big Cass. Enzo talks about sliding in girls' DMs once they win the titles and gets excited about having his name on the belt, saying he's never gonna take it off, like a house arrest ankle bracelet. He's even gonna wear it when he takes a dump.
Cass tells him to slow down, they've never won a title before. But that all changes at Fastlane, IF they stay focused on the match, like he has to focus on his match tonight against Luke Gallows. Enzo gives him a pep talk but he walks off halfway through.
Sheamus and Cesaro are backstage, and Sheamus wonders why he's so calm, to which Cesaro says water always finds itself. Samoa Joe rolls up and says long time no see, but it's the same ol' Cesaro, desperately trying to figure it out. Cesaro says he's always been able to handle Joe and not much has changed.
Joe asks if Cesaro's mad because he still hasn't grabbed that brass ring when he came in wearing it around his neck? Cesaro fires back and Joe tells him good luck with being clever. Sheamus can't wait to kick Joe's head off but Cesaro tells him to focus.
Stephanie McMahon is backstage when Mick Foley rolls up. Steph called him here to apologize. She puts Mick over as a legend and his sacrifices, even finishing the match where he lost his ear. He stood up in the face of adversity and fear and that's the general manager of Raw.
He says that's amazing but it's a pep talk, and Steph says that's not the Mick she got. HHH ended his career 17 years ago, but HHH gets stronger and stronger as Mick gets weaker and weaker. She says he's a shell of himself and he doesn't even measure up to his own expectations.
She doesn't know what he sees in the mirror every morning, but has to think he recognizes how he gets more feeble and pathetic, so she apologizes from the bottom of her heart to put the man who could stand up against anyone in a situation where he could hardly even stand at all, and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Akira Tozawa makes his entrance.
Brian Kendrick gets a backstage promo about trying to take Tozawa under is ring but he turned it down, so he has to be taught a lesson. Lesson one is footage of him getting attacked and lesson two is his leg getting tied into the ring frame for a count-out loss on 205 Live last week. Kendrick hopes he's learning.
Akira Tozawa vs. Noam Dar
Circling, collar and elbow, Tozawa forces Dar in the corner but break clean and roars at him. Forearms, whip, Dar with a sunset flip but Tozawa fires back with a Penalty Kick and a senton. Forearms for chops, Akira wins with his deadly chops, fakeout, Noam covers up and gets dropped with a big right hand!
Whip reversed, Dar charges into an elbow, Tozawa to the second but Alicia Fox distracts him and Noam kicks him to the mat. Shoulder armbreaker, grounded armbar, Akira out with body blows, off the ropes but Dar has a palm thrust to the gut ready for him. Tozawa with a headscissors takeover, Noam to the apron, he gets dropped by a forearm.
Huge suicide dive from Tozawa! Back in the ring and up top, double stomp misses but the rolling solebutt connects, Dar ducks a roundhouse, Akira goes underneath him...
Akira Tozawa wins by pinfall with the snap German suplex.
Kendrick attacks Tozawa from behind after the match! He kicks his head into the ringpost! Brian gets on the mic and says that was lesson three. Even though you might win your match, you gotta have eyes in the back of your head. Even when the match is over, it's not over. Any questions? He didn't think so.
The women's tag is up next, after the break.
Back from commercial and Mick Foley is stewing backstage when Joe walks up and asks if he's not having a nice day. Foley says he's not having a nice day and has been having a bad seven months as GM as Raw, in fact. But Stephanie was right about men changing, and now Joe is HHH's puppet.
Joe says he is no man's puppet, but Foley counters, saying he goes and does what HHH tells him, so what else would you call him? Mick further says he has a match against Cesaro tonight, (cheap pop), (catchphrase).
Charlotte Flair makes her entrance with Dana Brooke in tow, and she's gonna cut a promo before her match. She says after last week, she can't get over what happened. She thought Bayley was the happy, hugging role model who would do the right thing and give her the title back, but in that moment, she showed the world who she really is.
She says Bayley is a selfish, egocentric, greedy, win at any cost type person, and Charlotte has known this the entire time. She claims Bayley was playing everyone all this time. It was her dream and she didn't care how she won, if Sasha helped her cheat, just making it in the record books is good enough for Just Bayley.
That's the difference between her and Flair, she's a one-hit wonder, like Vanilla Ice, the Baha Men, the cast from Twilight, Brett Favre, Buster Douglas. But Charlotte wasn't born to be a one-hit wonder...
Enter Bayley. Charlotte calls her a cheater but she says the name she's looking for is "champion" and holds the title over her head. And if her memory serves correctly, that "one-hit wonder" has beaten her three times, and whether she likes it or not, Bayley knows she made the right decision by the WWE Universe.
And if you think that her WWE journey ends here, that this was her one dream, you're wrong, because you keep reaching and move onto the next one, and her next dream is pointing at the WrestleMania sign. That achieved, she clarifies verbally that she wants to walk into WrestleMania as champion.
Charlotte is sick and tired of hearing about dreams and says she's gonna regain what's hers at Fastlane, and she's gonna buy Bayley's dad a front-row ticket for the dream-crushing.
Enter Sasha Banks. She says Baylia is everything Charlotte wishes she was and more deserving of the title than she will ever be. Flair is impressed that Banks isn't out of breath because of her continual taking of Bayley's spotlight. That didn't make sense by itself, so she says Sasha must be exhausted.
The only thing Sasha is actually tired about is looking at Charlotte's stupid face. But why talk when they have a tag match? Charlotte agrees and says that Dana isn't actually her partner, but rather...
Enter Nia Jax. But not the match, because that'll be after the break.
Back from commercial in time for the bell to ring!
Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax
Jax and Banks to start, circling, collar and elbow and Nia shoves her to the mat! Boss with an arm wringer but she gets shoved to the mat again and Jax kicks at her to boot. Charges in, eats a front kick, wheelbarrow but Nia deadlifts and throws Sasha into the turnbuckles before throwing her at Bayley and demanding a tag.
Bayley obliges and charges in but gets caught with a slam. Jax shoving at her and stepping on her foot, asking her where she's going. Bayley in with forearms, tries for a suplex but Nia lifts her up easily and she slips out. Mounted punches in the corner, tag made, dropkick, trying for a double team but it goes south and Nia knocks 'em down with a clothesline.
She takes Bayley over, Charlotte tags in, big chop in the corner. Bayley fights back with forearms, Sasha comes back in, successful double team hip toss into a sliding knee drop for a cover. Flair with a bulldog headlock, she throws Sasha in the corner, off the ropes, headscissors takeover!
Dropkick for a cover, Boss is fired up, Japanese stranglehold applied. She shoves Charlotte corner to corner and tags Bayley back in. Hugger throwing chops, whip reversed, Dana tries to get involved but Bayley dodges it and throws Flair outside. She hits the Bayley-to-Belly on Brooke as we go to break.
Back from commercial and Nia's tagging in on Sasha and picking her up but the Boss slips out and throws dropkicks for air. Jax back with a huge headbutt, charges but Banks dodges, slap rush, knucklelock, looking for a step-up arm drag but Nia lifts her up for a Canadian gutbuster and a series of elbow drops for a nearfall.
Tag to Flair, assisted body avalanche, snapmare, knees to the back and the figure four headscissors is on.Sasha bridges to a pin so Charlotte flips her off and tags Nia back in. Corner whip, body avalanche, tag to Flair. Assisted charge gets the feet up, the Boss wants the tag... and gets it!
Bayley in with a lariat, axehandles, off the ropes, sliding back elbow, sliding lariat! Shoulder thrust, back roll, tube men elbow! Suplex, Charlotte out at one! Charge, sent to the apron, jockeying, Bayley with a Stunner on the apron but Nia tagged in! Looking for a Samoan drop but Bayley has her scouted, sleeper hold locked on!
Jax throws her off, she ducks a lariat and knocks Flair off the apron but Nia runs her over and knocks Banks off the apron too. Upkick from the Hugger, Banks with a diving crossbody, Jax slams her on Bayley and goes off the ropes...
Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax win by pinfall with a running leg drop from Jax on Bayley.

Backstage with Mick Foley right now, he tells Braun Strowman that he has no competition for him tonight. But Braun doesn't want competition, he wants a contract. He can see in Roman Reigns' eyes that he's about to break, and he wants a contract so that Roman can't tuck his tail and run.
Mick says he can't see Roman run away, but if it'll make Strowman feel better to see the Big Dog sign on the bottom line, he'll make it happen. Braun wants to see him sign... or else.
Commentary hypes up Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows, and the match is after the break.
Back from commercial, the Club enter first and then it's time for Enzo & Big Cass, they do the deal.
Cass once again claims that they'll win the tag titles and says that it'll prove that they're SAWFT.
Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows
Anderson distracts Cass and Gallows hits him with a boot. A second kick, Big struggling in the corner, Luke trying for a whip but Cass punches his face in. Big LG with body blows to regain control, back elbow, off the ropes for a lariat that takes the big man down and gets him two.
Reverse chinlock applied by the man once known as Festus but Cass powers out and they trade rights. Big has the goozle, goes for a chokeslam but Big Hoot slips out and levels him with a roundhouse. Charge gets an elbow, Cass ducks a corner avalanche and throws more heavy hands.
Off the ropes, Pounce, Stinger splash connects, fallaway slam, another Stinger splash, side slam, off the ropes, Empire Elbow. But Machine Gun messes with Enzo to distract Big, Enzo slips away and throws him in the steps, Cass is able to catch Gallows off-guard...
Big Cass wins by pinfall with a big boot.
Commentary shills for the Network, pointing out that if you subscribe after Thursday, you get WrestleMania as part of your free month! They then hype up Braun's contract signing and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Titus O'Neil makes his entrance for a match against Sheamus. We get a Facebook Live recap of a confrontation they had earlier where Titus was trying to pitch Sheamus on a team after Joe destroys Cesaro later and Sheamus shoved him over a table.
Titus ambushes Sheamus before he gets in the ring! Throws him into the barricade and then the apron before rolling him in the ring and trying to clubber him in the corner. Referee Chad Patton forces a break and checks on Sheamus and the bell rings!

O'Neil right back in with strikes in the corner but Sheamus straightens up...
Sheamus wins by pinfall with the Brogue Kick.
Commentary hypes up Cesaro vs. Joe, but first, it's Seth Rollins, after the break.
Back from commercial and Corey Graves introduces a video package about Seth Rollins' history leading to today before the interview.
After it finishes, he introduces Seth, who makes his entrance, albeit on a crutch and limping. Corey says it sounds like the crowd missed him and starts with the obvious, asking how his knee is doing. Seth says it's alright, the tear to his MCL was a bit more significant than initially thought and rehab has been intense, but it is what it is.
Corey says it's common knowledge that recovery is also taxing mentally, and he asks where Rollins' head is at. Seth says that's tricky, but honestly it sucks. He hears his knee snap and he's sitting in a hospital bed and he thinks maybe he deserves it.
Graves asks him to clarify and Seth says two years ago he was holding the WWE Championship over his head and it was the greatest moment of his life, but he's been looking in the mirror asking himself what he sacrificed for that and was it worth it?
He pointed a lot of fingers and blamed people and he told the world he didn't sell out, he bought in, but did he buy in too much? He shoulda known better, HHH stabbing people in the back is no surprise, but he let his ego get in the way of that. Somewhere along the way he lost sight of being a better person and he feels like the injury is his fault.
Corey asks him if he's gonna miss WrestleMania, and Seth says right now it doesn't look great. The doctors don't think he's gonna make WrestleMania.

Enter HHH, a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. He knows that nobody will believe it because we all think he's heartless, but it's good to see Seth Rollins, because quite honestly the last time he saw him he thought he'd never be back, but here he is!
And he knows Joe, right? Samoa is on the other side of the ring. HHH says Seth gave a wishy-washy answer to the last question, so he's gonna do what he always had to do and tell him what the answer is, and that's that Seth will NOT be at WrestleMania.
The crowd boos this and HHH tells Seth not to listen to them, they'll just get him in trouble, and if he knows what's good for him he will not be at WrestleMania. And he knew this day was coming and he knew what he was getting into right from the start. HHH made him the man, the face of the WWE, the biggest superstar in a long time.
He gave him the title and Seth proceeded to shove it in everyone's face and tell them he's the man, and that was all thanks to HHH. He delivered everything he ever promised, and Seth bit the hand that feeds him, so what did he think would happen, they'd all shake hands and go on their merry way?
Seth's not that stupid, he's not like the crowd, he knows how this works. He used him up and spit him out, so what? That's life, man up, get over it. He says Seth is just a used-up superstar and he should salvage it, and he gives him the answer again.
This is the most pivotal decision he'll ever make, do NOT come to WrestleMania, do NOT call him out at WrestleMania, because he is done playing with him and warning him. If he shows up at WrestleMania, he promises, no, he swears, it will be the last thing he ever does in a WWE ring.
He goes to leave but Seth calls him back. He says a month ago he told Steph he had nothing left to lose, and that's not any truer than it is now. He WILL be at WrestleMania, and if it's the last thing he ever does, he swears, it'll be the last thing Hunter ever does.

Big Show vs. Shining Stars (Epico & Primo) (Handicap Match)
Primo starts off by offering Big Show a brochure. He charges in and Show throws him away. Epico tags in, trying a double team, but Big overpowers them and knocks 'em to the mat. He takes Epico into the corner for overhand chops, Primo tries to make the save and gets run over.
Both men goozled but they fight out and throw hands, knocking the giant to one knee. Tag made, Primo up top, he dives right into an overhand chop! Ow. Show yanks Epico in, sets 'em up DDT-style and knocks 'em down with the WMD. Goozle applied...
Big Show wins by pinfall with a chokeslam on Primo.
Byron Saxton tosses us to a Black History Month vignette about Martin Luther King, Jr. to take us to break.
Or not, because we go backstage with Tony Nese. Neville rolls up and says they have a tag match coming up. He knows Tony has business with both TJ Perkins and Jack Gallagher, but he wants to make sure Nese knows the purpose of the match is to put Gallagher in his place ahead of his title shot at Fastlane.
The King is going to enjoy proving Jack is unworth of his title and throne, as well as proving why he's King of the Cruiserweights. Tony keeps flexing and Neville asks if he understands. Nese says that's fine for him, but tonight he's doing what's best for the Premier Athlete. The King bids him not screw this up and we go to break for real.
Back from commercial and we get an Austin Aries vignette for his in-ring return.
Jack Gallagher & TJ Perkins vs. Neville & Tony Nese
Neville right in with a boot on Gallagher, but TJP has a strike rush and a wheelbarrow bulldog for him. Off the ropes, he accidentally knocks Jack down and Neville takes advantage, putting boots to him and grinding his knee into TJP's face. Tag to Nese, waistlock, Perkins reverses to a victory roll, rolling solebut, tag to Jack.
Dropkicks, duck a lariat, crossbody, goes for a pin but Neville breaks it up. Big headbutt to the King, ducks the lariat, TJ with the Detonation Kick while referee Darrick Moore is busy with Neville. Gallagher with the running dropkick, Russian legsweep, floats over...
Jack Gallagher & TJ Perkins win by submission with a grounded octopus hold from Gallagher on Tony Nese.
We then get a video on the Beth Phoenix Hall of Fame announcement.

Back from commercial and Sasha and Bayley are hanging out backstage nursing their wounds from the tag match. Sasha says she meant what she said earlier, and Bayley says Charlotte has a way of finding ways to win on PPV, so she's gonna need eyes in the back of her head.
The Boss says she's gonna be in Bayley's corner and Steph rolls up, asking if she thinks Bayley can't win or if Charlotte was right about her stealing Bayley's spotlight. But no matter, because she's gonna get Sasha her own spotlight in another match against Sasha at Fastlane.
She leaves after telling Sasha to start worrying about her own back.
Cesaro vs. Samoa Joe
Joe right in, forcing Cesaro in the corner and throwing hands. Cesaro back in with knee lifts, Karelin lift barely takes Samoa up and over! Corner uppercut, whip across but Joe throws him outside. Punch from the apron, up top, diving crossbody but Samoa kicks right out.
Uppercuts against the ropes, Joe fires leg kicks but the Swiss Superman comes back with a dropkick. Joe picks him up over his shoulder, crossleg sitout shinbreaker on the mat and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Joe hits a backsplash and an enzuigiri in the corner. Front chancery applied but Cesaro reverses and suplexes him! Forearm for uppercut but Samoa kicks his leg out from under him and rolls him into a kneebar! The Swiss Superman is begging for the ropes but he turns it around into the Sharpshooter instead!
He can't quite roll Joe over and gets punched out of it but comes back with the diving uppercut. Repeated uppercuts in the corner now, ten of 'em, he hoists him up... ALPAMARE WATERSLIDE! NO GOOD! Hammering life back into his knee, he's going for the swing but Joe punches his knee out.
Double stomp from Cesaro gets a nearfall, now he's looking for the Neutralizer but it gets countered with a back body drop. Going for the springboard uppercut, Joe shoves him into the ropes, kicks his leg out, shoots him off the ropes again...
Samoa Joe wins by pinfall with the spinning Rock Bottom.
He walks up the ramp into an interview and says it's quite simple. He came here to hurt people, and in that ring tonight was Cesaro, a world-renowned grappler, a seasoned veteran, a freak athlete, but he is not Samoa Joe. So this serves as a reminder to everybody in the back-- it doesn't matter what you've accomplished, who you are, or how much the crowd loves you.
Cesaro, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, when you come against the Destroyer, inevitably--
Enter Sami Zayn, blindsiding Joe from the side! Fighting in the pit, hockey punches, Joe flips him away but Zayn is right back on him with punch on punch! Security breaks it up but Joe gets back in and throws Sami onto the stage! They pull them apart again but Zayn dives off the stage!
Security finally gets them broken up after that, and commentary shills for the Network once again before we go to break.
Back from commercial with the announcement that Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe is official for Fastlane.
Mick Foley is in the ring to introduce our contract signing. He says we'll find out what happens when the irresistible force meets the immovable object when Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns square off. He can't foresee a circumstance where Roman Reigns would try to back out--
RRROOOAAARRR!
Braun says Mick brought the paperwork and table, his purpose is done and he should leave, or else. Foley says he understands this is a big career moment for him, and he might not be long for his role as GM, but as long as he's still in charge, Strowman WILL respect what he has to say.
The monster retorts, saying he would have respected him once upon a time when he was competition, but Stephanie was right. So when he says leave, he says it with the respect that a broken-down suburban dad deserves. This makes Mick angry and he starts yelling, saying he's had enough.
And if he's not gonna respect him as GM, he's gonna respect him as a legend! GMs come and go, but legends are forever, and he will learn to respect him, or else! BRAUN SWATS THE MIC OUT OF HIS HAND! They stare each other down chest to chest when Roman Reigns interrupts.
He kicks Braun high but legal and throws hands. Strowman chucks him over the steps but Roman's right back in with a Superman Punch! Tries a second, Braun catches him and throws him into the ringpost! Over the barricade into the crowd now, just clobbering him.
Into a road case, big punch right to the ol' hernia scar, another road case, clubbing blow. Reigns back in it, Superman Punch off the steps... SPEAR THROUGH THE BARRICADE! He heads in the ring, picks up the contract, and is about to sign it when Braun stands and asks if that's all he's got. When he comes in the ring he eats another Superman Punch!
Big Dog calling for the spear, Braun catches him, throws him into the turnbuckle... IT POPS OFF THE RINGPOST! Referee John Cone runs in to check on Roman and Strowman leaves, posing on the apron. Reigns barely drags himself to his knees with the table as Braun stares on, and he signs the contract!

Show opens with Goldberg making his entrance from backstage and all the way through his sparklers and whatnot.
He gets on the mic and thanks Green Bay for chanting his name. He continues, saying last week Kevin Owens came out in his nice little suit with his nice little spotlight and did what he does best, talk and talk and talk and talk until he couldn't talk anymore and then he kept talking.
He's not gonna do that, but he's in a hell of a good mood because he's six days out. From his heart, he has never made a promise that he didn't follow through with. So he promises that next Sunday, at WWE Fastlane, spear, jackhammer, 1-2-3, Goldberg becomes Universal Champion and takes it to WrestleMania to face Brock Lesnar.
As sure as he's standing here, he promises everyone in the crowd, everyone at home (aw, you don't have to, Bill!), his wife, his son, Kevin Owens, everybody, that he will deliver. He tells Kev he'll see him Sunday and KO's music hits.
Owens strides out on stage in a suit, title belt over his shoulder. He asks Goldberg about his mood and says he's in a good mood as well! He's happy to see Bill here and he says he got a lot of things off his chest but one thing was missing, Goldberg. Now he can tell him face-to-face what he thinks.
It's funny that Goldberg promised his wife and son, because he promised himself that he'd grab WWE by the throat and make them see what Kevin Owens is all about, and how? On his first night here, he beat John Cena. Goldberg claps, and Owens says he should, because he beat the poster boy for the last decade on night one.
But he didn't stop there. Dean Ambrose? Beat him. AJ Styles? Beat him. Seth Rollins? Beat him. Roman Reigns? Beat him too. And no matter how loud these sheep chant for Goldberg, well, he's next. And he doesn't mean it in the cute way Bill does where it's his catchphrase, but he's telling him face-to-face that Goldberg is the next one in the evolution of Kevin Owens.
Goldberg says everybody should give KO a hand for such a moving speech and as entertaining as it is, it did nothing but piss him off, so why wait until Sunday? Owens says he doesn't speak Neanderthal very well but he assumes he wants to go right here, right now?
Fine, he'll do one better, Owens vs. Goldberg in a Green Bay Street Fight! Or not, because Green Bay doesn't deserve to see him fight. But don't worry Goldberg, they're gonna fight Sunday and Owens can't wait to stand over him, title in hand, after the pinfall and all Bill hears is complete and utter silence.
Trust him, he finishes, on Sunday the Goldberg chant dies.
New Day are handing out t-shirts backstage as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Big E does the deal and the New Day make their entrance, feeding cereal to the front row and all. Xavier Woods reiterates that they're gonna host WrestleMania, they have a lot on their plate. But Kofi Kingston says they should worry about what fills their plate, and Big E agrees.
Xavier says we want more, and Kofi says, after they get in the ring, that we want that ice cream. And they want us to have the ice cream! New Day Pops, a mouthful of magic, I gotta have it. But before they feed us like baby birds, Big continues, they gotta take the shine off the Shining Stars.
The Shining Stars, obligingly, come out in response to this. Meanwhile, a member of the ring crew brings Xavier a red envelope, and he apologizes, saying they're not actually in this match. Their match is later, against the Big Show, and the envelope actually shows Rusev & Jinder Mahal as their opponents.
Jinder Mahal & Rusev vs. New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods)
Jinder and Xavier to start, Woods gets a waistlock but Jinder fights out. Off the ropes, lariats ducked, Xavier takes him over with a headscissors, flying forearm, tag to Big. Shoulder block, he shoves Mahal into an Honor Roll for two! Woods takes Rusev out with a dropkick, E hits a running splash on Jinder on the apron and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Rusev has a front chancery locked on Woods to keep him grounded. Xavier fights out with a jawbreaker, tries to jump over for the tag but Rusev catches him and takes him to the ropes for some trapped knee lifts to the ribs and a fallaway slam that gets two.
Tag to Jinder, boot to the head, off the ropes for a knee drop that gets two more, then he slows it down with a rear chinlock. Woods eats a back elbow off the ropes when he tries to escape and the Bulgarian Brute comes in with a headbutt and an elbow drop before posing for the crowd.
Xavier throwing hands to the gut, forearms to the face, but Rusev picks him up and slams him into the turnbuckles before throwing shoulder thrusts. Choking knees, whip across but Woods gets the boots up and is fighting for the tag. Off the ropes, Xavier goes for a crossbody, Rusev catches him, Woods escapes and connects with an enzuigiri.
Tags made, Big E comes in like a freight train with the trifecta of belly-to-belly suplexes, hip swivel, off the ropes for the big splash and he's clapping the rhythm. He runs Rusev off the apron, going for the Big Ending, but Mahal kicks him out of the ring.
Woods got a tag, diving crossbody but Rusev breaks the pin up and kicks E off the apron himself. Xavier keeps his wits about him...
New Day win by pinfall with a bridging O'Connor roll from Xavier Woods on Jinder Mahal.
Rusev yells at Jinder as New Day celebrate up the ramp.

Back from commercial and Michael Cole hypes up the Beth Phoenix Hall of Fame announcement for later tonight.
We get a recap of the #1 contender's match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship before we head backstage with Enzo & Big Cass. Enzo talks about sliding in girls' DMs once they win the titles and gets excited about having his name on the belt, saying he's never gonna take it off, like a house arrest ankle bracelet. He's even gonna wear it when he takes a dump.
Cass tells him to slow down, they've never won a title before. But that all changes at Fastlane, IF they stay focused on the match, like he has to focus on his match tonight against Luke Gallows. Enzo gives him a pep talk but he walks off halfway through.
Sheamus and Cesaro are backstage, and Sheamus wonders why he's so calm, to which Cesaro says water always finds itself. Samoa Joe rolls up and says long time no see, but it's the same ol' Cesaro, desperately trying to figure it out. Cesaro says he's always been able to handle Joe and not much has changed.
Joe asks if Cesaro's mad because he still hasn't grabbed that brass ring when he came in wearing it around his neck? Cesaro fires back and Joe tells him good luck with being clever. Sheamus can't wait to kick Joe's head off but Cesaro tells him to focus.
Stephanie McMahon is backstage when Mick Foley rolls up. Steph called him here to apologize. She puts Mick over as a legend and his sacrifices, even finishing the match where he lost his ear. He stood up in the face of adversity and fear and that's the general manager of Raw.
He says that's amazing but it's a pep talk, and Steph says that's not the Mick she got. HHH ended his career 17 years ago, but HHH gets stronger and stronger as Mick gets weaker and weaker. She says he's a shell of himself and he doesn't even measure up to his own expectations.
She doesn't know what he sees in the mirror every morning, but has to think he recognizes how he gets more feeble and pathetic, so she apologizes from the bottom of her heart to put the man who could stand up against anyone in a situation where he could hardly even stand at all, and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Akira Tozawa makes his entrance.
Brian Kendrick gets a backstage promo about trying to take Tozawa under is ring but he turned it down, so he has to be taught a lesson. Lesson one is footage of him getting attacked and lesson two is his leg getting tied into the ring frame for a count-out loss on 205 Live last week. Kendrick hopes he's learning.
Akira Tozawa vs. Noam Dar
Circling, collar and elbow, Tozawa forces Dar in the corner but break clean and roars at him. Forearms, whip, Dar with a sunset flip but Tozawa fires back with a Penalty Kick and a senton. Forearms for chops, Akira wins with his deadly chops, fakeout, Noam covers up and gets dropped with a big right hand!
Whip reversed, Dar charges into an elbow, Tozawa to the second but Alicia Fox distracts him and Noam kicks him to the mat. Shoulder armbreaker, grounded armbar, Akira out with body blows, off the ropes but Dar has a palm thrust to the gut ready for him. Tozawa with a headscissors takeover, Noam to the apron, he gets dropped by a forearm.
Huge suicide dive from Tozawa! Back in the ring and up top, double stomp misses but the rolling solebutt connects, Dar ducks a roundhouse, Akira goes underneath him...
Akira Tozawa wins by pinfall with the snap German suplex.
Kendrick attacks Tozawa from behind after the match! He kicks his head into the ringpost! Brian gets on the mic and says that was lesson three. Even though you might win your match, you gotta have eyes in the back of your head. Even when the match is over, it's not over. Any questions? He didn't think so.

Back from commercial and Mick Foley is stewing backstage when Joe walks up and asks if he's not having a nice day. Foley says he's not having a nice day and has been having a bad seven months as GM as Raw, in fact. But Stephanie was right about men changing, and now Joe is HHH's puppet.
Joe says he is no man's puppet, but Foley counters, saying he goes and does what HHH tells him, so what else would you call him? Mick further says he has a match against Cesaro tonight, (cheap pop), (catchphrase).
Charlotte Flair makes her entrance with Dana Brooke in tow, and she's gonna cut a promo before her match. She says after last week, she can't get over what happened. She thought Bayley was the happy, hugging role model who would do the right thing and give her the title back, but in that moment, she showed the world who she really is.
She says Bayley is a selfish, egocentric, greedy, win at any cost type person, and Charlotte has known this the entire time. She claims Bayley was playing everyone all this time. It was her dream and she didn't care how she won, if Sasha helped her cheat, just making it in the record books is good enough for Just Bayley.
That's the difference between her and Flair, she's a one-hit wonder, like Vanilla Ice, the Baha Men, the cast from Twilight, Brett Favre, Buster Douglas. But Charlotte wasn't born to be a one-hit wonder...
Enter Bayley. Charlotte calls her a cheater but she says the name she's looking for is "champion" and holds the title over her head. And if her memory serves correctly, that "one-hit wonder" has beaten her three times, and whether she likes it or not, Bayley knows she made the right decision by the WWE Universe.
And if you think that her WWE journey ends here, that this was her one dream, you're wrong, because you keep reaching and move onto the next one, and her next dream is pointing at the WrestleMania sign. That achieved, she clarifies verbally that she wants to walk into WrestleMania as champion.
Charlotte is sick and tired of hearing about dreams and says she's gonna regain what's hers at Fastlane, and she's gonna buy Bayley's dad a front-row ticket for the dream-crushing.
Enter Sasha Banks. She says Baylia is everything Charlotte wishes she was and more deserving of the title than she will ever be. Flair is impressed that Banks isn't out of breath because of her continual taking of Bayley's spotlight. That didn't make sense by itself, so she says Sasha must be exhausted.
The only thing Sasha is actually tired about is looking at Charlotte's stupid face. But why talk when they have a tag match? Charlotte agrees and says that Dana isn't actually her partner, but rather...
Enter Nia Jax. But not the match, because that'll be after the break.

Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax
Jax and Banks to start, circling, collar and elbow and Nia shoves her to the mat! Boss with an arm wringer but she gets shoved to the mat again and Jax kicks at her to boot. Charges in, eats a front kick, wheelbarrow but Nia deadlifts and throws Sasha into the turnbuckles before throwing her at Bayley and demanding a tag.
Bayley obliges and charges in but gets caught with a slam. Jax shoving at her and stepping on her foot, asking her where she's going. Bayley in with forearms, tries for a suplex but Nia lifts her up easily and she slips out. Mounted punches in the corner, tag made, dropkick, trying for a double team but it goes south and Nia knocks 'em down with a clothesline.
She takes Bayley over, Charlotte tags in, big chop in the corner. Bayley fights back with forearms, Sasha comes back in, successful double team hip toss into a sliding knee drop for a cover. Flair with a bulldog headlock, she throws Sasha in the corner, off the ropes, headscissors takeover!
Dropkick for a cover, Boss is fired up, Japanese stranglehold applied. She shoves Charlotte corner to corner and tags Bayley back in. Hugger throwing chops, whip reversed, Dana tries to get involved but Bayley dodges it and throws Flair outside. She hits the Bayley-to-Belly on Brooke as we go to break.
Back from commercial and Nia's tagging in on Sasha and picking her up but the Boss slips out and throws dropkicks for air. Jax back with a huge headbutt, charges but Banks dodges, slap rush, knucklelock, looking for a step-up arm drag but Nia lifts her up for a Canadian gutbuster and a series of elbow drops for a nearfall.
Tag to Flair, assisted body avalanche, snapmare, knees to the back and the figure four headscissors is on.Sasha bridges to a pin so Charlotte flips her off and tags Nia back in. Corner whip, body avalanche, tag to Flair. Assisted charge gets the feet up, the Boss wants the tag... and gets it!
Bayley in with a lariat, axehandles, off the ropes, sliding back elbow, sliding lariat! Shoulder thrust, back roll, tube men elbow! Suplex, Charlotte out at one! Charge, sent to the apron, jockeying, Bayley with a Stunner on the apron but Nia tagged in! Looking for a Samoan drop but Bayley has her scouted, sleeper hold locked on!
Jax throws her off, she ducks a lariat and knocks Flair off the apron but Nia runs her over and knocks Banks off the apron too. Upkick from the Hugger, Banks with a diving crossbody, Jax slams her on Bayley and goes off the ropes...

Backstage with Mick Foley right now, he tells Braun Strowman that he has no competition for him tonight. But Braun doesn't want competition, he wants a contract. He can see in Roman Reigns' eyes that he's about to break, and he wants a contract so that Roman can't tuck his tail and run.
Mick says he can't see Roman run away, but if it'll make Strowman feel better to see the Big Dog sign on the bottom line, he'll make it happen. Braun wants to see him sign... or else.

Back from commercial, the Club enter first and then it's time for Enzo & Big Cass, they do the deal.
Cass once again claims that they'll win the tag titles and says that it'll prove that they're SAWFT.

Anderson distracts Cass and Gallows hits him with a boot. A second kick, Big struggling in the corner, Luke trying for a whip but Cass punches his face in. Big LG with body blows to regain control, back elbow, off the ropes for a lariat that takes the big man down and gets him two.
Reverse chinlock applied by the man once known as Festus but Cass powers out and they trade rights. Big has the goozle, goes for a chokeslam but Big Hoot slips out and levels him with a roundhouse. Charge gets an elbow, Cass ducks a corner avalanche and throws more heavy hands.
Off the ropes, Pounce, Stinger splash connects, fallaway slam, another Stinger splash, side slam, off the ropes, Empire Elbow. But Machine Gun messes with Enzo to distract Big, Enzo slips away and throws him in the steps, Cass is able to catch Gallows off-guard...
Big Cass wins by pinfall with a big boot.

Back from commercial and Titus O'Neil makes his entrance for a match against Sheamus. We get a Facebook Live recap of a confrontation they had earlier where Titus was trying to pitch Sheamus on a team after Joe destroys Cesaro later and Sheamus shoved him over a table.
Titus ambushes Sheamus before he gets in the ring! Throws him into the barricade and then the apron before rolling him in the ring and trying to clubber him in the corner. Referee Chad Patton forces a break and checks on Sheamus and the bell rings!

O'Neil right back in with strikes in the corner but Sheamus straightens up...

Back from commercial and Corey Graves introduces a video package about Seth Rollins' history leading to today before the interview.
After it finishes, he introduces Seth, who makes his entrance, albeit on a crutch and limping. Corey says it sounds like the crowd missed him and starts with the obvious, asking how his knee is doing. Seth says it's alright, the tear to his MCL was a bit more significant than initially thought and rehab has been intense, but it is what it is.
Corey says it's common knowledge that recovery is also taxing mentally, and he asks where Rollins' head is at. Seth says that's tricky, but honestly it sucks. He hears his knee snap and he's sitting in a hospital bed and he thinks maybe he deserves it.
Graves asks him to clarify and Seth says two years ago he was holding the WWE Championship over his head and it was the greatest moment of his life, but he's been looking in the mirror asking himself what he sacrificed for that and was it worth it?
He pointed a lot of fingers and blamed people and he told the world he didn't sell out, he bought in, but did he buy in too much? He shoulda known better, HHH stabbing people in the back is no surprise, but he let his ego get in the way of that. Somewhere along the way he lost sight of being a better person and he feels like the injury is his fault.
Corey asks him if he's gonna miss WrestleMania, and Seth says right now it doesn't look great. The doctors don't think he's gonna make WrestleMania.

Enter HHH, a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. He knows that nobody will believe it because we all think he's heartless, but it's good to see Seth Rollins, because quite honestly the last time he saw him he thought he'd never be back, but here he is!
And he knows Joe, right? Samoa is on the other side of the ring. HHH says Seth gave a wishy-washy answer to the last question, so he's gonna do what he always had to do and tell him what the answer is, and that's that Seth will NOT be at WrestleMania.
The crowd boos this and HHH tells Seth not to listen to them, they'll just get him in trouble, and if he knows what's good for him he will not be at WrestleMania. And he knew this day was coming and he knew what he was getting into right from the start. HHH made him the man, the face of the WWE, the biggest superstar in a long time.
He gave him the title and Seth proceeded to shove it in everyone's face and tell them he's the man, and that was all thanks to HHH. He delivered everything he ever promised, and Seth bit the hand that feeds him, so what did he think would happen, they'd all shake hands and go on their merry way?
Seth's not that stupid, he's not like the crowd, he knows how this works. He used him up and spit him out, so what? That's life, man up, get over it. He says Seth is just a used-up superstar and he should salvage it, and he gives him the answer again.
This is the most pivotal decision he'll ever make, do NOT come to WrestleMania, do NOT call him out at WrestleMania, because he is done playing with him and warning him. If he shows up at WrestleMania, he promises, no, he swears, it will be the last thing he ever does in a WWE ring.
He goes to leave but Seth calls him back. He says a month ago he told Steph he had nothing left to lose, and that's not any truer than it is now. He WILL be at WrestleMania, and if it's the last thing he ever does, he swears, it'll be the last thing Hunter ever does.

Big Show vs. Shining Stars (Epico & Primo) (Handicap Match)
Primo starts off by offering Big Show a brochure. He charges in and Show throws him away. Epico tags in, trying a double team, but Big overpowers them and knocks 'em to the mat. He takes Epico into the corner for overhand chops, Primo tries to make the save and gets run over.
Both men goozled but they fight out and throw hands, knocking the giant to one knee. Tag made, Primo up top, he dives right into an overhand chop! Ow. Show yanks Epico in, sets 'em up DDT-style and knocks 'em down with the WMD. Goozle applied...
Big Show wins by pinfall with a chokeslam on Primo.
Byron Saxton tosses us to a Black History Month vignette about Martin Luther King, Jr. to take us to break.
Or not, because we go backstage with Tony Nese. Neville rolls up and says they have a tag match coming up. He knows Tony has business with both TJ Perkins and Jack Gallagher, but he wants to make sure Nese knows the purpose of the match is to put Gallagher in his place ahead of his title shot at Fastlane.
The King is going to enjoy proving Jack is unworth of his title and throne, as well as proving why he's King of the Cruiserweights. Tony keeps flexing and Neville asks if he understands. Nese says that's fine for him, but tonight he's doing what's best for the Premier Athlete. The King bids him not screw this up and we go to break for real.

Jack Gallagher & TJ Perkins vs. Neville & Tony Nese
Neville right in with a boot on Gallagher, but TJP has a strike rush and a wheelbarrow bulldog for him. Off the ropes, he accidentally knocks Jack down and Neville takes advantage, putting boots to him and grinding his knee into TJP's face. Tag to Nese, waistlock, Perkins reverses to a victory roll, rolling solebut, tag to Jack.
Dropkicks, duck a lariat, crossbody, goes for a pin but Neville breaks it up. Big headbutt to the King, ducks the lariat, TJ with the Detonation Kick while referee Darrick Moore is busy with Neville. Gallagher with the running dropkick, Russian legsweep, floats over...

Back from commercial and Sasha and Bayley are hanging out backstage nursing their wounds from the tag match. Sasha says she meant what she said earlier, and Bayley says Charlotte has a way of finding ways to win on PPV, so she's gonna need eyes in the back of her head.
The Boss says she's gonna be in Bayley's corner and Steph rolls up, asking if she thinks Bayley can't win or if Charlotte was right about her stealing Bayley's spotlight. But no matter, because she's gonna get Sasha her own spotlight in another match against Sasha at Fastlane.
She leaves after telling Sasha to start worrying about her own back.
Cesaro vs. Samoa Joe
Joe right in, forcing Cesaro in the corner and throwing hands. Cesaro back in with knee lifts, Karelin lift barely takes Samoa up and over! Corner uppercut, whip across but Joe throws him outside. Punch from the apron, up top, diving crossbody but Samoa kicks right out.
Uppercuts against the ropes, Joe fires leg kicks but the Swiss Superman comes back with a dropkick. Joe picks him up over his shoulder, crossleg sitout shinbreaker on the mat and we go to break.
Back from commercial and Joe hits a backsplash and an enzuigiri in the corner. Front chancery applied but Cesaro reverses and suplexes him! Forearm for uppercut but Samoa kicks his leg out from under him and rolls him into a kneebar! The Swiss Superman is begging for the ropes but he turns it around into the Sharpshooter instead!
He can't quite roll Joe over and gets punched out of it but comes back with the diving uppercut. Repeated uppercuts in the corner now, ten of 'em, he hoists him up... ALPAMARE WATERSLIDE! NO GOOD! Hammering life back into his knee, he's going for the swing but Joe punches his knee out.
Double stomp from Cesaro gets a nearfall, now he's looking for the Neutralizer but it gets countered with a back body drop. Going for the springboard uppercut, Joe shoves him into the ropes, kicks his leg out, shoots him off the ropes again...
Samoa Joe wins by pinfall with the spinning Rock Bottom.
He walks up the ramp into an interview and says it's quite simple. He came here to hurt people, and in that ring tonight was Cesaro, a world-renowned grappler, a seasoned veteran, a freak athlete, but he is not Samoa Joe. So this serves as a reminder to everybody in the back-- it doesn't matter what you've accomplished, who you are, or how much the crowd loves you.
Cesaro, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, when you come against the Destroyer, inevitably--
Enter Sami Zayn, blindsiding Joe from the side! Fighting in the pit, hockey punches, Joe flips him away but Zayn is right back on him with punch on punch! Security breaks it up but Joe gets back in and throws Sami onto the stage! They pull them apart again but Zayn dives off the stage!
Security finally gets them broken up after that, and commentary shills for the Network once again before we go to break.

Mick Foley is in the ring to introduce our contract signing. He says we'll find out what happens when the irresistible force meets the immovable object when Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns square off. He can't foresee a circumstance where Roman Reigns would try to back out--

Braun says Mick brought the paperwork and table, his purpose is done and he should leave, or else. Foley says he understands this is a big career moment for him, and he might not be long for his role as GM, but as long as he's still in charge, Strowman WILL respect what he has to say.
The monster retorts, saying he would have respected him once upon a time when he was competition, but Stephanie was right. So when he says leave, he says it with the respect that a broken-down suburban dad deserves. This makes Mick angry and he starts yelling, saying he's had enough.
And if he's not gonna respect him as GM, he's gonna respect him as a legend! GMs come and go, but legends are forever, and he will learn to respect him, or else! BRAUN SWATS THE MIC OUT OF HIS HAND! They stare each other down chest to chest when Roman Reigns interrupts.
He kicks Braun high but legal and throws hands. Strowman chucks him over the steps but Roman's right back in with a Superman Punch! Tries a second, Braun catches him and throws him into the ringpost! Over the barricade into the crowd now, just clobbering him.
Into a road case, big punch right to the ol' hernia scar, another road case, clubbing blow. Reigns back in it, Superman Punch off the steps... SPEAR THROUGH THE BARRICADE! He heads in the ring, picks up the contract, and is about to sign it when Braun stands and asks if that's all he's got. When he comes in the ring he eats another Superman Punch!
Big Dog calling for the spear, Braun catches him, throws him into the turnbuckle... IT POPS OFF THE RINGPOST! Referee John Cone runs in to check on Roman and Strowman leaves, posing on the apron. Reigns barely drags himself to his knees with the table as Braun stares on, and he signs the contract!
