NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn RECAP:

1. Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Tyler Breeze. Breeze’s entrance involved models dressed like New York monuments, including the Statue of Liberty. Liger got the pinfall after a running Liger Bomb.

2. NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Vaudevillains defeated Blake & Murphy (c) to become the new Tag Team Champions. The Vaudevillains’ plan to counter Alexa Bliss was Blue Pants, who prevented Bliss from interfering. The Villains hit the Whirling Dervish to win the NXT Tag Team Championships.

3. Apollo Crews defeated Tye Dillinger. This was Crews’ debut. He pinned Dillinger after a press slam into a standing moonsault.

– William Regal announced the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament, with the finals taking place at the next TakeOver event on October 7.

4. Samoa Joe defeated Baron Corbin. Joe won a back-and-forth match by submission with a Coquina Clutch.

5. NXT Women’s Championship Match: Bayley defeated Sasha Banks (c) to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. Bayley followed up a reverse hurricanrana from the top rope with a Belly-to-Bayley to become the 4th NXT Women’s Champion. After the match, Charlotte and Becky Lynch joined them in the ring for a “curtain call” for NXT’s “Four Horsewomen.”

– Triple H announced that in December, NXT will head to the UK.

6. Ladder Match for the NXT Championship: Finn Bálor (c) defeated Kevin Owens. Bálor hit a Coup de Grace from the top of a ladder. That kept Owens down long enough for Bálor to climb the ladder and pull down the NXT Championship.

- The show opens with a HHH in-ring promo. He talks about the growth of his baby (NXT) and how THE FUTURE IS NOW! He then throws his arms up in the air and the lights come up, revealing the largest crowd in NXT history. It's show time, baybay!

- Jushin 'Thunder' Liger vs Tyler Breeze was a good show opener. ***
I marked out for Liger, and Breeze had a cool entrance. This was a fun, little opener overall. It wasn't great, but the crowd loved both Liger and Prince Pretty. Liger won with a running Liger Bomb. I had Breeze winning, but I hope Liger appearing isn't a one-time deal. I'd honestly love to see a rematch with Tyler winning.

- Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac are shown in the front row.

- Bayley's shown backstage. Charlotte and Becky wish her luck.

- A Nia Jax vignette is aired.

- Before the NXT Tag Team Championship match started, Alexa Bliss ran down The Vaudevillains for not having anyone in their corner, and then the music of Blue Pants hit! The crowd went bonkers, Blue Pants is madly over.

- NXT Tag Team Championship match: The Vaudevillains vs Blake & Murphy was a rock solid match. **¾
All I can say is, the right team won and we have new Tag Team champs! Yay!

- Apollo Crews vs Tye Dillinger was short, but still amusing enough. **
This was a nice debut for Apollo and everyone (myself included) seems to dig Tye's new 'Perfect 10' gimmick.
I felt like this needed to be more of a showcase for Mr. Crews, but I guess they didn't wanna make Tye look bad by letting Apollo squash him in under a minute.

- William Regal is shown on the big screen and announces the 'Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic' tournament which starts on the September 2nd episode of NXT and will culminate with the finals on October 7th at the next NXT TakeOver special. They plan to make the American Dream proud with this tournament.

- Samoa Joe vs Baron Corbin was good for what it was, I'd say. ***
But, Joe winning made it that much better.

- Kana, Ric Flair and Sgt. Slaughter are shown at ringside.

- Stephanie came out to the ring to take credit for the whole Divas Revolution and stuff. [HASHTAG]#PraiseMamaStephanie[/HASHTAG]

- NXT Women's Championship match: Bayley vs Sasha Banks was amazing, loved it! ****¾
The girls stole the show! Plus, Bayley winning and becoming the new NXT Women's champ was such a feel-good moment!
I also loved the post-match segment with Four Horsewomen celebrating and having a group hug!

- NXT Championship Ladder match: Finn Bálor vs Kevin Owens was a great, enjoyable ME! ****½

It was an amazing show and I had a blast watching it. 9/10

If you got tickets to NXT Takeover Brooklyn you made a wise choice, if you spent $400 to Summerslam you made a bad choice, If you went to both you still wasted your money, NXT was only worth it, AMAZING SHOW

I didn't see this thread existed until now, haha, but this was the first 10/10 show I've seen since being on here. I LOVED it.
