Left without an opponent for his next fight when Rampage Jackson walked away from the UFC, Rashad Evans said Wednesday that he expects to fight Thiago Silva next, likely some time in December or early next year.

"Thiago Silva is a good fighter, I'd like to fight him and I think he wants to fight me," Evans said. "When I saw him after he fought Keith Jardine, he kind of gave me a nasty look that I interpreted like he wanted to take me on, and I'd like that."

"I think I match up really well with Thiago Silva," Evans said. "He's a great striker, and I love his focus. He's going to be a challenge, and that's the kind of fight I want."

Well it's something, not as good as Rampage vs. Rashad, but it will do. Evans will smash through him though

SUGAR Rashad!!!

Ready for him to face Machida again for the LHW title so he can gain some redemption in the LHW division. Machida put him on stanky legg with that nice KO.

I sure hope Rashad gets back up to title contention fast. Now that Rampage is out of the picture, if Rashad could get the belt that would be a huge "FUCK YOU" to Rampage. I am still a Rampage fan, but I prefer Rashad over Machida anyday, he just seems like a total creep to me.

Alves stepping up the weight-class would be a disadvantage for him. And yes, he will be dominated as when he was in the lightweight division, he was dominating due to his size and power, but in the lightheavyweight division, he wont have any kind of advantage.
