This is Rashad's first appearance on a late-night talk show, though it's not unfamiliar territory for MMA fighters. Tito Ortiz was the first fighter to appear on the format, doing a bit for the Tonight Show in 2003 to promote a fight with Randy Couture. Chuck Liddell has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show a couple times. Quinton Jackson has appeared on that show and has made multiple appearances on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. As far as I can remember, this will be the first fighter to graces the Jimmy Fallon set.
As for Fallon, I've never been a huge fan, going back to his days of camera-gazing and laugh-induced breaking of character in his SNL days. That said, I've seen more than a handful of good stuff from his late night show, including this Charlie Sheen impersonation and his History of Rap medleys with Justin Timberlake.
So go out, have a few drinks, and then head on back here to discuss Rashad's debut on Network television.
