"Going into that fight I wanted to make sure I negated Phil’s wrestling ability. He has a high level of wrestling and I thought I could out wrestle him so that’s what I was trying to do. That whole camp was a tough camp for me; about a week before the fight I broke three ribs sparring. I broke three ribs so I was like you know what I’m just gonna go out there and see what happens.”
If that is true, then that's pretty impressive, I'm sure plenty of MMA fighters have been through this and it amazes me that they're even able to. I mean hell, I've broken ribs before and could barely move for like a week.

I know Wandy has fought with some bad injuries. Those guys are on an entirely different level of everything. The stuff they put their bodies through... its amazing. And they are still standing, let alone still fighting. Hopefully it won't keep him back from the title fight.
