With Strikeforce recently adding a "sponsor fee" in the vein of the UFC, some sponsors are now unable to advertise in the Strikeforce cage. One of them is Ranger Up, who has decided to step away from sponsoring fighters in Strikeforce for the time being. This affects two of their fighters competing in events over the next couple of months - Tim Kennedy and Liz Carmouche. Ranger Up is a unique brand though, and being able to advertise in the cage isn't number one on their priority list. They just want to take care of their fighters. MMA Payout spoke to Ranger Up President Nick Palmisciano about it:

"We are in fact "out" [as sponsors], but are still supporting all of our athletes financially as if they wore the Ranger Up logo into the cage. We also completely understand and have no issue with Strikeforce’s position. It is a sign the sport is growing. We hope to be back in Strikeforce and the UFC soon, but until then continue to support and sponsor military athletes at all levels, and are very proud to have been able to advance the sport in the military community these past 5 years."

RangerUp has sponsored fighters that have served in the military for a long time, and currently sponsor over 100 fighters at various levels of the sport. You may remember them most from Jorge Rivera's goofy videos about Michael Bisping before UFC 127.
