Orton is too popular to be a heel imo. His last run as a heel was disastrious whenever he wasn't feuding with Bryan, and since he's consistenly one of the most popular guys on the roster, I feel they should keep it that way. I'd love to see him feud with Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens, etc. He doesn't have to be a heel to feud with Brock Lesnar, as we're currently seeing with Brock/Ambrose. Brock is the closest thing we have to a tweener.
He dropped Heyman with one in October of '14. Ironically, it marked the only time that I can remember where Lesnar didn't take action against someone for assaulting or offending Heyman.

Also if Jericho can pull of being heel then so can Orton. They have similar careers

Orton is pretty boring as a face. There is no direction for him to go. His last run as a face was terrible. Thats why he feuded with Sheamus for lIke 5 monthe with no storyline. I bet you that he himself would much rather play a heel because it's more natural for him. But he will probably stay face because "RKO Outta Nowhere" and so he can cash in big fat checks for his merchandise

That's uninteresting booking, not proof that Orton is awful as a face. What is entertaining about Orton as a heel these days... His anti-social personality and unwillingness to make any friends (even when he was forced to team with John Cena on a Raw in 2012, he admitted that he still hated him and would never consider him a friend) made him the closest thing to an "edgy" babyface that WWE had back in 2011-2013, and I'd rather have that kind of character back on the roster than another generic heel. His heel run as The Authority's paper champion wasn't exactly anything to write home about.

He's won multiple world titles, main evented Wrestlemania, main evented Summerslam, won the Royal Rumble, and has been one of the most featured superstars on the roster for the past decade and a half. There's hardly any new ground for him to explore either way, face or heel. At least as a face, I'd see a less boring side of his personality, plus rivalries with a few people - namely Bray Wyatt and Kevin Owens - with whom he's never crossed paths with before.

Well Orton is at the point in his career where he doesn't really need more accomplishments. Hes at the point where his role should be more focus on putting younger talent over, just like Y2J. His personality fits more as a heel persona, because honestly he comes off as an arogant dick. Also him and Y2J careers are similar. Both of them have been top guys but never considered as the "face" of the company but theyre literially one step below. They have had long succesful careers switching heel/faces roles but their best matches and feuds have been as heels. Oh and not to mention they are the only 2 to become Undisputed champions by unifying the titles of 2 brands. So that's how their careers compare for u people who hit the disagree button :finger:

You're not using logic though. You're a mark who's masquerading his opinion as being reasonable.

It's one thing when a cat like Prince Bálor rolls in and advocates a heel turn because he loves wrestling and leaves it at that.

You're obviously an Orton mark so why not own it and get out. Continuing to argue with Lockard with a weak argument only further exposes that. You're first the person i've ever met who's compared Randy Orton to Chris motherf*cking Jericho. That's a reach right there if I've ever heard it.

Be ready for dislikes. I have plenty. If I were my old JC4life37 persona I'd likely have more dislikes than anybody on this site easily.

So your response to this "argument" is just simply calling me a mark. And saying that someone else's opinion is more valid than mine because "he loves wrestling". That's bogus.

My final response and then I'm done here. If you re-read my post I said that poster "leaves it at that".
That poster didn't proceed to compare wrestler A to wrestler B, when said wrestlers couldn't be anymore different.
If you had said, "I prefer Orton as a heel" without further elaboration, argumentation or debate I would not have rated your post as I did.

Simply having a take is always valid, but once you elaborate on that take or involve yourself in a debate you open yourself to dislikes (based on your elaboration and debate only). Does that make any sense?

So I'm supposed to just give 1 sentence takes on here now instead of having a discussion and elaborating on my point of view and opinions. That kind of defeats the purpose of having a discussion forum about wrestling.

But a lot of arrogant dicks are lovable. :dealwithit: And nowadays, he's more anti-social and rebellious than he is arrogant, not that people don't eat up both types of attitudes when it comes to certain people anyway. Orton has played a heel for almost his entire career, I'd rather see him stick with being a babyface from this point forward.

Also, your attempt to draw parallels between his and Jericho's careers and use that as a reasoning for why he should be a heel like Y2J is odd as hell. Sure, they were both pushed as main eventers but never the #1 guy, but you just described nearly every main eventer in history not named Hogan, Austin, Rock, Cena, etc. Savage, Bryan, Punk, Edge, Undertaker, HHH, Foley, etc. were never pushed as the top guy either, at least not in any long term capacity.
