What makes you say that? I think you overly associate your views on Ron and project them onto Rand. Rand is a much more serious contender to the presidency than his dear old Daddy ever was.

Was being sarcastic. A lot of people who believe in United States related conspiracies tend to back Rand (just like they did with Ron), and blamed the media completely for Ron not getting what he wanted and what everyone else wanted him to get. Though it was obvious the media didn't back Ron, but I don't think it'll have any effect on Rand.

I think Rand has a great chance personally.

He is all of the good of Ron but minus the crazy old man perception. Rand is going to absolutely sweep the country as far as my demographic goes, I know that much. We'll see how much support he drums up in total, but he is going to be a major player for the GOP moving forward and if he gets the nom I think he would take out any person the Dems threw at him because he would have the GOP vote, the libertarian vote, the youth vote... he is big timing it. It's exciting.

Definitely exciting. I'm curious to see how popular he'd be away from our demographic though, and whether he can get the more old fashioned on his side. He is absolutely right about your debt crisis though, and I genuinely didn't know countries like Portugal and Greece were legally stealing their own citizens' savings. That's just outrageous, and the interviewer seemed to think US were seriously close to being in as much trouble as those (though I think he's most likely over-exaggerating).

Rand just has to stay to the course and make it to the debate rounds starting in 2015. Once the Republican masses start to see him speak they will fall in love with him.

I am not a democrat bro. I am moderate.

edit: Matter of fact I'm registered as a member of the GOP because I wanted to vote Paul during the primaries
