control panel > classic view > sound > playback > [look for the HDMI output here and enable it]

Yeah, I tried that. Funny thing is it won't let me enable it. It says underneath HDMI that it isn't connected. How the fuck can I view it on my tv if it isn't connected? So fucking dumb...

This may sound stupid but have you swapped the lead around. So take out hdmi cable and turn it around and try it that way. It worked when i used hdmi for my tv to my PS3.

Do you got Vista? Either way, look in Sounds and Audio Devices and fuck around with the output settings, try to find if it gives you an option to select the HMDI audio. If it's not there, go to "Add Hardware" and see if you can find it (did a disc come with it?).

Hey Peep if nothing else is working and you already have it to where it will play video, then pick up one of these cords, they may run you 10 bucks, but it will work. It's how I run sound from my comp to tv.
