Quarter Hour Ratings for 8/23 IMPACT

Q3: Impact decreased slightly to a 1.04 rating for AJ Styles vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Robbie E in a BFG Series match, plus one-and-a-half commercials.

Q4: Impact increased to a 1.08 rating for Jeff Hardy vs. Robbie T and one-and-a-half commercials.

Q5: Impact jumped to a 1.32 rating for the AJ Styles paternity test segment that included TNA wrapping up the Claire Lynch storyline. There was no commercial during this segment, as it went the full 15 minutes uninterrupted.

Q6: Impact dipped to a 1.18 rating for Gunner vs. Kris Lewie in the Gut Check audition match and two commercials.

Q7: Impact remained at a 1.18 rating for Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray in a BFG Series main event match and one commercial.

Q8: Impact jumped to a show-high 1.40 rating for the end of Anderson vs. Bully, one commercial, and Sting returning to the ring eight minutes before the top of the hour to call out Aces & Eights, which led to a show-closing brawl and injury angle involving Austin Aries.

Proving yet again that bullcrap = ratings. We all hated Claire Lynch, but guess it was a trainwreck the casuals couldn't stop watching (Thanks, Dolph's!)

To be fair, we all hated the DB wedding segment with AJ and that drew like fuck too. What is it with these soap-opera flop storylines that kids mark their tits off for?

I've only seen 4/5 episodes of TNA so can't really comment if it's getting better, but what are they up against in terms of ratings?

WTF nobody commented on Aces n 8's 1.4 rating, all commenting Claire fuckin Lynch.@

That's it, it's hard to say what that was about. Yeah the Aces and Eights storyline is a ratings draw, but it was advertised for the 8:00 hour the week before. Would expect the huge rating then...

Other than the main-event timeslot, why did viewers tune in for this to get the viewership it did?

Impact needs to continue airing quality television. The viewers will tune in.

I have to almost disagree. TNA needs to keep doing what it's doing and not worry about WWE ratings. They need a youtube channel like WWE has an that will fill the views they want/need. Hardy/Joe, Roode/AA, come on. Those are mil views easily, TNA should cash in on it.
