The preeminent tournament in professional wrestling, the Battle of Los Angeles, returns to Reseda, CA on August 20, 2011. The 2011 Battle of Los Angeles features eight of the top competitors from around the world facing off in a single night, single elimination tournament. The winner receives not only the adulation of the fans and the glory of prevailing over seven of the best professional wrestlers in the world today, but also the opportunity to request any match of the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Board of Directors over the next calendar year.

Past winners, including "Photogenic" Chris Bosh and Joey Ryan, have parlayed their tournament victories into a shot at the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship title. Others, like 2006 Battle of Los Angeles winner Davey Richards, have requested Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Championship title matches. The possibilities are only limited by the imagination of the tournament winner.

Tickets for this premiere event are now on sale, and fans interested in attending this event are encouraged to act quickly. Where else can you see Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen take on Dave "Fit" Finlay, former World Champions El Generico and Claudio Castagnoli face off, fast-rising star Willie Mack look to upset the awesome Chris Hero, or two of the hardest hitters in professional wrestling, Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong, go one-on-one, in only the first of three rounds of matches? Only in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and only at the 2011 Battle of Los Angeles.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's 2011 Battle of Los Angeles takes place Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 8:00 PM at American Legion Post #308 in Reseda, CA. American Legion Post #308 is located at 7338 Canby Ave., Reseda, CA 91335. Front Row tickets are $30 per night, and General Admission tickets are $25 per night. Online tickets orders are subject to the PayPal Service Charge (2.9% + $0.30). Tickets purchased in advance allow for priority admittance to the venue, along with guaranteed event seating. Online tickets sales for this event will end on August 16, 2011, at 11:59PM. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Tickets are not refundable. Video recording devices are not permitted. Card subject to change.

Weird that this years BOLA is only going to be held on 1 night instead of 2. But I think think the 3 matches apart from the Hero/Mack match have the potential to be really good. I'm pleased that PWG are using Finlay too. Since Kevin Steen is the PWG champ he doesn't need to beat Finlay. I'd like to see Eddie beat Roddy. Claudio will want to win to get his PWG title back, but at the same time could be on borrowed time as it's rumored he & Chris Hero are headed to WWE. Generico will want to win to no doubt get a rematch against The Young Bucks for the Tag Titles, or possibly go after Kevin Steen's PWG title (which would be a great feud to have in PWG if it's as good as their ROH feud) and I can see Hero possibly losing to Willie Mack.

1 night and only 8 entrants is a bitch, but PWG has done really well as a whole this year and still has a good few shows left in them for the year so it should be all good. Willie Mack will likely win, though Generico could make a shocking (albeit not needed) win. Still, it'll be Mack vs. Steen in the finals I believe.
