Punk/Cena news - Possibility we won't see a triple threat?

Vince McMahon is said to be tired of the John Cena vs. CM Punk feud, so their match next week on RAW will be the last time we see them cross paths for a while.

I am assuming cena is going to finish off punk, and rocky will be involved somehow right after, but i would KILL for Punk to go over cena clean, or even Ryback take cena out (punk wouldnt see it comign) on monday to set up Ryback Cena and Punk Rocky.

I don't see this as "almost a certainty" that we get no triple-threat. I think last week after RAW we would have been saying it's almost a certainty we would see one. It depends on Undertaker's health and whether WWE want to simply run a repeat Wrestlemania with "Twice in a lifetime."

I'm sure WWE backstage weren't liking the casuals tweeting and mocking them over their "once in a lifetime" crap last year, and I'm sure they won't expect the sales record to be broken with simply another match which was already disappointing last year. Furthermore, what content material do Cena and Rock have now?

Have you seen the advertisments and poster for Mania. It's all Rock/Cena. The triple threat is not happening.

As I say on every post, Meltzer's the most reliable dirtsheet because he's consistently wrong. Triple threat, here we come.

But seriously, everything you said is exactly right. As always. WWE put off the Heyman/Punk stuff until next week to give Taker one last week to see if he can go. The plan is probably "Twice in a Lifetime", the triple threat is the backup to get Punk on the card.

As you say, Rock and Cena sucking last year won't keep it from drawing again (casuals don't care about match quality), but unless the match is Taker/Michaels quality you can't draw off a dream match twice unless something changes. Turn Cena heel, have Rocky join Heyman's faction, then we'll talk. But that's not happening, so let's not.
